  • Boonen has climbed off apparently.

  • I hope that's because he couldn't be arsed rather than hurt

  • great racing. can GvA stop Sagan?

  • Hoping Vanmarke can get a gap and beast it, in a sprint out of those three Sagan should win it everytime

  • I'm not watching it, but I'm going to say no.

  • I'm unfortunately working while listening (and occasionally alt-tabbing in to watch), but what a trio of power up front.

  • Backstedt starting to predict who'll win from the second group if it all comes back together. Yet the gap has been stabilised at around the 30 second mark for the last 15 kms.

  • Chasing group running out of road

  • Surprised we didn't see more from Trentin in that second group. Quickstep have been nonexistent

  • Sagan looking so cool and strong atm.

  • He's also looked a bit sloppy at times (in my few moments of watching). So perhaps tired?

  • Vanmarke has hardly done any work and only chance he has is to attack on his own.

  • Surprise sprint, cagey

  • Wow GVA takes it, Sagan pays for doing so much work mid-race

  • I like GVA's golden BMC

  • chuffed GvA took it. and took it easily. Sagan clearly paid for some intense work earlier

  • Should never bet against Jonny.

  • It looked to me like both Vanmarke and Sagan went too early, resulting in a difficult corner which GVA could take far tighter and go into the final sprint with a decent advantage

  • It sounds like Boonen's alright. He only abandoned because it took too long to get his bike sorted.

"La deuxième fois par contre je ne suis pas tombé, mais c'est venu par derrière et le vélo a souffert et ma roue arrière était abimée, mon dérailleur aussi. J'ai dû attendre longtemps avant d'avoir un nouveau vélo et je savais dès lors qu'il serait impossible de rejoindre l'avant de la course. J'ai juste essayé un peu pour voir si tout allait bien"

  • Yeah he climbed off to save himself for tomorrow, and I imagine Quickstep will be smarting and will ride aggressively in K-B-K. Anyone know what happened to Stypar? Not saying the result would different as the front three were savage but that crash had a huge influence on the race.

Anyway not all gloom, those targeting Paris-Roubaix wouldn't in top form. Sagan was in full beast mode though, but no-one would help him. Given the team he's gone to he's gonna have to most on his own. That said he can do that easily.

  • Climbers, eh? A puff of wind and they're all over the road. :)

  • Haha he's the best no doubts.
He did look extremely pissed off.
