That's the one. He's probably my least favourite.
He's worse than Krby at rider id and they're all on a track, right in front of him. -

I've created a Road CC fantasy league, the first race is the Omloop in a couple of days. It's league number 77463. Join up and beat my score.

Boulting is the best, I think. He's got character and knows his weaknesses (or ex-weaknesses). Kirby spends half the time preempting complaints about mistakes or complaining about "road furniture" and the incompetence of race organizers.
Phil Liggett was actually nuts, so I'm glad he's gone. His story about men showing up to people's houses to bribe them to 'lie' about Armstong doping. Jesus.

But well known pathological liar Lance Armstrong looked him in the eye and told him he didn't dope. So Phil believes.
-
• #9656
Indeed - believes so much he made up stories that never happened!
Anyway. SATURDAY!

Don't forget the South African gold mine they co-own #brosinbondage

That's Sherwen, no? And the mine is in Uganda.
FAKE NEWS!

• #9660
You're just a dupe of the BIASED LEFT WING MEDIA. SAD!

Everyone knows velonews is the Pravda of the cycling world. WRONG!

Dredging this: love Vanmarcke, but often how is going to actually win a race. He's incredibly powerful and consistent but doesn't that explosive change of pace. Get a gap a few K out and make it stick? He's been talked up as someone who can replace Boonen (but not the 'next Boonen') and take home the wins for Belgium but he doesn't have the weaapons. I mean him and Sagan go into the last few Ks of a race, who is going to win?
Mind you I used to think the same about Stannard and he proved me wrong. Vanmarcke just makes me scratch my head a little.
Oh and Kirby, who was that Eurosport presenter before him? He stopped and was suffering from depression, he was head and shoulders above Kirby. Back then Kirby was the one back in Paris popping up every once in a while to tell you about the history of a local monastery and an anecdote about the time he ate some of the local saucisson and got a bad of brown water. Plus Kirby will frequently refer to Sky as the 'greatest cycling team in the world' and make gooey eyes at Froome like Ligget did to lance. However he is food and shouty in the sprints, even if he always calls the wrong winner.

David Harmon?
-
• #9664
Just realised I am out of London this weekend and will only have access to a TV with terrestrial stations. I can't seem to see any planned Omloop Het Nieuwsblad highlights on ITV2/4. Are there any cycling cafes in Suffolk that anyone knows which might show the race live?
-
• #9665
If all else fails, you can still get the Eurosport player 2017 pass for £19.99
-
• #9666
Yes, the Harmon/Kelly partnership was great. Boulting/Miller shaping up to be their replacements.
Kirby is terrible - an out of tune David Duffield covers act.
-
• #9667
I liked Harmon, yeah.
-
• #9668
Already got it, but no internet where were heading and I don't want to stream hours of racing on my phone :(.
-
• #9669
no internet where we're heading
BEWARE! Here Be Dragons!
-
• #9670
That's him, hope he's doing well. It was original spun as him taking a break from commentary but he's never come back
-
• #9671
Oh. Google turns up some unpleasant things.
-
• #9672
I was about to say, go have a google and see what comes up. You can see why he's not on Eurosport any more.

• #9673
Omloop 2016 was when I started taking more notice of pro cycling, really excited to sit down with a mate and some beer this weekend and watch this one
-
• #9674
Tao G-H starting in a strong looking Sky classics squad.
Jan Stanaard FTW!
-
• #9675
Yup, depression a smoke screen. Shame.
If Stannard wins again it means he's won it more times than Merckx #braggingrights
Is that the high pitched guy who does the uci cyclocross as well? Ugh.
