  • I like all those at the back trying to carry their bikes round the pile of riders without bothering to see if they can help at all.

  • @skinny, brutal.

I have to say, I'm a big fan of Imlach's brown coat.

  • Incidentally, the last 6 or so km of yesterdays Yorkshire stage were great - filmed entirely from the helicopter so you could actually watch it develop rather than constantly switching to and from motos.

I'm assuming it was by necessity but it worked well.

  • 62km to go in today's Tour of Yorkshire and it looks like there's about 20 people left in the race.

  • They've been racing from the gun, no big time splits between the GC contenders so it's been a massacre.

  • UCI should really have allowed them to go to 5 days.

  • Great ride from dreamy, sexist Pete

  • Powells reckons he can do everyone from 43km. These guys really need radios.

  • Or was he just after KOM, hard to follow the race from the Topshop boyfriend bench. At least the wifi is decent.

  • I liked the point made on Friday that it shouldn't be the tour de Yorkshire, but the three days of Yorkshire. Suits the racing a little better

  • Great racing, like a hilly classic

  • Haha, that was a great race. That last descent was crazy, Turgis' pavement hopping was impressive. Can't believe Roche let Voeckler get around him like that at the end...

  • Yeah, Tommy!

And fuck me there's a lot of people there.

  • Roche got proper mugged

  • @Jimmy_Fingers What's wrong with being sexy?

  • That looks like more than the whole population of Scarborough

  • Cameras don't show how rough the coast road is at the finish and considering Europecar direct energie need a big win i would say chapo to the french mugging the brits . I also noted gary verity in the official mustard trousers .

  • I was hoping for a Yates win, but it was a great race and I watched about 120k: such great country they were racing through, and all those shortish but nasty climbs, and the wind was a huge factor too. Sky were brutal, Kennaugh deservedly getting the combativity prize for doing nothing more than setting a ferocious pace for about 80k. And then when Roche looked the strongest he just didn't look over his shoulder! Gave Voekler a huge head start and the win, but I don't begrudge him that: he rode a brilliant race, a huge kick when he saw Nordhaug trying to bridge and getting close may well have been a decider.

    More parcours like this please.

A brutal crash in the women's red hook Just popped up on my insta

  • As observed on Twatter, probably more entertainment today than the whole Ardennes week.

Echelons at the top of a climb whut?

  • Missed all the tour of Yorkshire. Highlights anywhere?

  • ouch. leader took 3 big hits to the head, looked like she was getting up though.

  • Two of those likely could've been avoided with brakes or like you know a velodrome where you can ride up the bank to knock off speed or avoid a fallen rider. But still, instagramfame bro!
