It’s common in hotels for parents to let their kids run around in the hallways.
MvdP should sue the hotel.
It’s fucking infuriating to spend $200 for a night and have someone’s rotten crotchfruits banging on your door at 2 am. I don’t blame him for being pissed off.
There should be cameras in the hallways to back him up.

Pushing young girls is not on, but I can understand his frustration. I'm surprised the hotel didn't keep a better check on it. If you have potential world champions staying with you I'd assume security would around for any incidents like this?

Something on twitter, which i can't find, showed how little support there was for Dutch riders from their cycling organisation. No one to meet juniors, no one to recon the races for juniors, etc etc.
MVDP also, apparently, chose to sleep in his girlfriend's room. Which was on a different floor. The dutch floor was off limits to everyone. This wouldn't have happened if he stayed with the team. but he may not have stayed with the team because it wasn't up to scratch.

Given the state of the shitty hotels that many of the riders will have been staying in, I can't imagine there would be any security staff. Poor guy, he's in a lose-lose situation at that point.

Stayed with his gf because he got off the plane with a light cold and he didn’t want to risk infecting his room mate.

Supposedly he personally dropped 20k on a business class ticket, pretty awful RoE on that.
