Would like to hear this on the highlights outro 🤟

Oh don't get me wrong, I know it's all part of the atmosphere. But I can't believe how close they seem to be at times. There shouldn't ever be a need for the riders to have to interact with them while they're doing their job.

And running alongside should mean imprisonment.

Remember the world champs in Bergen when the TT went up the big hill. Security guards blocking runners into touch as they went by. Awesome.

I'm on holiday so can't watch full stages right now, definitely going to have to go back and watch all of todays. Bardet in 2nd! Quintana attacking! My fantasy cycling team was centered around Rog so that's out the window but worth it for racing this good.

Van Aert taking Majka with him when picking up Roglic, then Majka dropping off entire Jumbo team. That looked pretty weird, but haven't been discussed?

Good race, this.
Imlach’s wardrobe looks very warm. Denim in the second week?!

Because Jonas was ultimately able to pop Pogi it looks like a great success... but really seemed pretty clueless strategically.

• #41412
Though they managed to get rid of Majka previously, so perhaps thought that he wouldn’t be that useful on the last mountain.

Yes, if today was an example of anything, it was of bad strategy.

and bad fuelling.

Pogacar seems like a decent guy. We've not had much experience with how he reacts when things aren't going his way but he comes across as quite upbeat and magnanimous.
It was nice to see him only being human on a bike as well.

Briding Majka was probably the only tactical error for JV today. Otherwise they used their real advantage (best team here) throughly, always having new attacks/ backup riders at the ready. Not sure how the armchair DSs here can argue with the results when conservative riding has netted them second two times in a row.

Because one of those seconds should’ve been a first.

• #41418
Yesterday makes today pretty impossible to predict. JV and UAE now have to watch three teams plus each other.
How do Bardet and Quintana play this? Surely they need to have a go while the form is there.

Nudity is on the cards, but I'm bringing a nice lady, so might have to constrain myself

Someone needs to snap that twat’s flagpole before it ends up in a wheel.

Maybe sending Wout back is a show of support for Roglic which maintains harmony.
Not sure what happened to Majka he went to cover the move Pog asked him to knock it back and he disappeared.
Should make today interesting, could see Pog firing back but could possibly fade. Glad he’s not dominated even if he wins from here.

Think Bardet is the one with real form no?

Podge beat Vingo by over five minutes last year.

On a tangent, is anywhere showing today's stage live in London? Missing LMNH

Somewhat confused by all the 'Jumbo had a shit strategy' comments. Their strategy was spot on.
The execution and tactics weren't perfect, but the strategy worked. Do we need to revisit the meaning of strategy like some bad business meeting? Pls no.
Hm I do hope the crowds are always there, not like too much disturbing like you say, but no fences or stupid rules to keep people away, it should be like that, in the end it’s what I would show non-cycling people how great road cycling is.
