Re: Movistar doc. I feel sorry for the riders. Valverde could be winning stages in his final few seasons if decent strategy was coming from the cars and Soler has bags of potential but isn’t being developed well at all.

His downright melancholy highlight package voiceovers
I’ve started replaying the final hour of the ad-free coverage rather than the highlights package.

And they wonder why the good riders leave!

Is the baby giro televised anywhere?

Is he still racing?

is this what life is like in the pro peloton?

There were highlights on YouTube last year. Let me dig around.

Nah, he’s a rancher now or something.

Lol I was waiting when there would become a growing following.

Big thanks again to the cunt at Eurosport for using the stage winner as the thumbnail on the app for the highlights today.
Fucking smashing. They do it all the time...

At least you've been spared Brian Smith's 'insights'

I don't know if the app is the same as the Eurosport player but I've complained to them in the past about it, and had lots of apologies, and I think today it was just coincidence. They've used a thumbnail of Geraint Thomas for every stage and, today, different thumbnails for the different versions.

I saw the homepage spoiler on Eurosport before watching the last 45 minutes or so today. Quite enjoyed the anticipation of seeing how on earth he was going to win a sprint stage

Team mates sitting up to block on the last corner is literally a criterium move
Didn't look that blatant to me?
Thomas does a Cummings, nice.

It's the best reality TV I've ever seen. Marc soler is hilarious, the ds's are bonkers, and I've seen primary school classes that are better organized. Love it.

My housemate is out for a few hours tonight for the first time in way to fucking long so I will have to indulge in this. Any particular episodes which are more ridiculous than the rest?
-
• #35272
I'd just start from the beginning, in traditional style. First episode has great drama of the riders getting furious at the mechanics because they think it's their fault the team has switched to sram.

OK I have to see this. What's Spanish for "Fucking SRAM"?

Is there a new series of the Movistar doc? I watched the first series.. Valverde comes across as a man constantly stifling his laughter at the fools around him whilst calculating how he secures another years contract as the highest paid member of the team. Carapaz is the pantomime villain, Landa is the poor nice guy, Quintana is just very quiet.

Tony Martin and another JV domestique have all blue front tyres that looked like a Tacx turbo tyre, very odd.
Looked like Thomas was getting a decent draft off the moto at about 7-800m to go.
