I'd say if A Yates wants to stay with Ineos he wouldn't say anything. Apart from Froome there hasn't been any GC contender that is solid for the full three weeks maybe Pogacar? But he hasn't had to do back to back days in the leaders jersey so hasn't seen the impact of what its like after the each stage having to go dope control and all the interviews etc. Actually Thomas in 2018 I guess?

Agreed. Trying to hype this up as a bad day for Bernal when he finished 3rd, got a time bonus, and increased his lead while appearing to avoid going into the red at any stage seems a bit desperate.
