If they tried racing, instead of sucking wheel, maybe their luck would change?
-
• #3253
With Viviani in the chase for red, and their GC rider three minutes down, they might have wanted to hedge their bets.
-
• #3254
Konig, Henao and Nieve are all capable of stage wins and (perhaps crucially) they've not worked as hard as Astana and Tinkof.

sucking wheels
Really?
-
• #3257
I just got home for work.
How the fuck did Porte lose 2 minutes more than Contador who was in the same crash again?
Sky should just have fucking unicycles on the back of the team car the rate they're going.

Cringe when he tried to ride Kiriyenkas bike to the finish - out of the saddle #underthesaddle
-
• #3259
A unicycle might have been easier than Kiri's Kurgan-wagon then... #marginalsprains

• #3260
Saxo boys seem to have the 'help your leader out' routine down a tad better
-
• #3261
Contador doesn't need a kid's bike though, unlike Titchy Ritchie.
-
• #3262
Pfftt. The red jersey is a mere bauble for Sky especially when they still have a chance of a podium. An outside chance.
-
• #3263
Sad for Porte but you can't deny there's been great drama for better or worse on pretty much every stage.
Is the TT going to be a bike swap job? Looks like it's flat for the first half but some proper climbing at the end.
-
• #3264
Proper climbing is tomorrow ;-)
By the looks of it the avg grade is about 5% for the two bits from 30-33km and 49-54km. Not sure if that would justify a swap -
• #3265
It's not proper climbing, just crosses the Montello hills, north of Treviso. They aren't challenging. Not sure exactly which roads they are using but a lot of them can be ridden in the big ring.

Cambridge's favourite TTist says TT biek all the way:
-
• #3267
where do you find the predicted stage timings etc and how are they calculated? Keep hearing people say stage X was earlier or later than expected...
-
• #3269
For some odd reason. The timings appear on the desktop. But not on a mobile device.
-
• #3270
ah, thanks very much Peter
-
• #3271
strange, indeed. the official Giro app is not much help either, except if you want to know the publicity caravan's time schedule :-/
-
• #3272
Which, in my experience, is what most people on the side of the road are there for/excited by. So the nailed that.

Just discovered Hola plugin for chrome. Now watching Rai coverage without that shitty Silverlight download. Win.
-
• #3274
Actually I take that back, the Giro cycling's just been replaced by some cunt speaking forrin in a tweed coat and cunting about the paysage on a shite commuter talking to people and being all cultured and shit.
The stuff Farage's nightmares are made of.

It's not on rai 3 until 3pm or 2pm GMt
The team was assembled to win the race, not sprints for Viviani.
