Commentators always divide opinion - Carlton Kirby has always been very popular on here, largely because of his support for Cornish independence (I think), whereas Rob Hatch appeals more to a metrosexual demographic. I think we can all agree though that the less you know, the louder and more often you should say it.

Rob Hatch appeals more to a metrosexual demographic
Quality content in here today.
Work became unavoidable today so saved the race for the highlights. Wow. Loved the ‘tactical masterclass’ as contrast to the Wout and Matthieu show recently.

@he who must not be tagged on a website where it’s common practice
Definition of metrosexual: a usually urban heterosexual male given to enhancing his personal appearance by fastidious grooming, beauty treatments, and fashionable clothes
How do these characteristics lend someone to favour a particular commentator?

Maybe careful male grooming and an appreciation of Rob Hatch's comedy accents just naturally go together, along with meticulously curated Following pages.

I think Rob Hatch is too used to commentating with Sean Kelly who doesn't say anything until prompted. There was a good few times when Blythe would be talking, something would happen so he'd be like "ooh X has just attacked..." then get immediately talked over by Hatch to repeat that X has indeed just attacked except this time with a dumb accent. It's like Hatch feels he has to mention all the main things that are happening and the other commentator is just there to fill gaps.

Given that they are in separate locations currently, it's no surprise that they sometimes talk over each other. When Hatch is physically with his co-commentator he's very good at setting them up to show their knowledge and experience.

I was wondering about their set up and decided they must have been in the same room because it was relatively seemless. If it was me and the people I go on zoom calls with we'd be talking over each other constantly

Rob Hatch is at his home in Spain. It's a lovely image but I don't think Adam Blythe lives with him.

Watched in bed with many wine last night from about 100km. Best race of the year so far imo. Wanted to see DQS lose it somehow but was happy that they won cos they fully deserved it, if that makes sense.
A quick flick across to Catalunya is all that's needed to make Hatch's accents tolerable. Really like the combo of him and Blythe. When Hatch goes 'ay ay ay ay ay' when something bad happens though? In the sea with ye

Hatch good Kirby bad. Next question.
Aha, seemed a bit annoying to me, but maybe that's just me.
