Fair play to Dumoulin. If you’re not feeling it, then what’s the point. Same with Kittel. They have both achieved great things.... theres more to life than cycling.... may as well step back and enjoy the fruits of your labour whilst you still can.

I think Cavendish has achieved far more than either Kittel or Dumoulin and if he's still feeling it, then he can ride for as long as he likes as far as I'm concerned. Who cares if he's not winning, he still clearly enjoys racing his bike and once he's retired, that's gone.

Do we all think domestiques suck because they rarely win? It's a team sport. He's still working for the team. It's not like they're launching him off a focused sprint train every race and he's failing to win. Besides, we're still talking about him which means he still has marketing potential which means he's still more valuable in that sense than many newer riders.

I think they changed the course in Dendermonde last month as it was knee deep and it was getting dangerous.. @andyp may be able to confirm that

I didn't make it to the pics, was at the pits too concerned with cleaning my bike and replacing GRX components..

They did, you’re right. A section of the course was getting too dangerous during the women’s race, so they rerouted the course for the men’s race.
