Just realised the Tour of Valencia’s final stage goes passed our apartment.
My wife - “That’s as close as I guess I’ll get to bringing Tom Dumoulin home”.

You know my rule. Everything fits, given enough force.

Looks like your wife will need to wait a little longer to see him whizzing past the flat: https://www.instagram.com/p/B8JDqb5Ba5c/?igshid=mbhdajz7tjte

MVDP is now in the top-10 of all World pro rankings; CX (#1) MTB (#5) and road (#10). A unique achievement which will stand for a long time probably.

Undoubtedly. That said, Pauline Ferrand-Prevot holding all 3 rainbow jerseys (plus a clean sweep of French national jerseys) as a U23 at the same time was pretty impressive.

Got a prediction league set up where we need to predict the 1,2,3 of the 5 Monuments and the 3 Grand Tours, as well as the Worlds and the Tokyo Road Race.
Anyone fancy helping chip in with their predictions? I am unsure on L-B-L and San Remo. Also difficult working out who will win the Giro and the Vuelta. I think Bernal will ride the Giro to win it but maintain TDF as his primary goal, Ineos will throw everything at that and he will win. Maybe Nibali could provide one last big win with another Giro title.
Bookies very very heavily backing MVP for all the classics, I think he will take one but I am not sure which. I'm currently going for the Ronde.

Bernal won’t ride the Giro. Carapaz will lead Ineos there.
When’s the deadline for your predictions? It’s hard to pick favourites for races when you don’t know what their form is like, or whether they’ll even be riding.

We submit a list by next week, of course lots of it is pure luck as we don't know who is riding like you say. I thought Bernal was doing the double this year, not sure where I got that from. It will be interesting to see how Carapaz fares in a team leader role if that's the case. Thanks for the heads up!

"Despite the prospect of a natural decline in ability as the years wear on, Valverde is hoping for at least one more big victory before hanging up his Pinarello."

Not sure how I missed Wout Poels going to Bahrain Mclaren.
Pogacar ripping it up at Valenciana. The finish of today’s stage was brutally steep. Last 3km all at about 15%.

On the theme of rouler. The latest edition is pretty dire. A 5 page spread zwift advert dressed up as an article is the pinnicle.

that article is a linguistic mess. just translate the rider's name into english.
tommy windmills
jeff soup
bob jungles
julian at the philip

Yes, hope they aren't going to make a habit of selling the cover to advertisers. I couldn't care less about Zwift.

I thought the interview with Marcel Kittel was excellent.
He must have slammed into the kerbstone by the side of the road at some velocity. He seems lucky not to have his season ruined, let alone finish second
