quite pleased for Dennis after him getting pelters from all corners all summer.
obviously has an already challenging mental condition that performing at his level that bit more complicated but given the right preparation he fucking delivers. Wouldn't necessarily want to be the one sitting next to him on the team bus all the time mind you...

I hate that this guy has enough time to learn it. I've been trying to get that whole track down for years.

It sounds like Israel Cycling Academy will take over Katusha’s WT license for next season.
It’s not clear what will happen with all the riders under contract, ICA already have 27 and Katusha have 11. I think team size is capped at 30 riders.

I guess they do one of three things:
1, Close ICA and "take over" Katusha's management company and bring the riders over they want
2, Close Katusha then do the opposite of the above
3, Keep ICA as a conti or pro conti feeder team and run it alongside their new WT teamIn honesty, there's not a lot of riders at Katusha you'd want to build a team around

Meh. All you have to do is shout "zealot" at the end and you win.

Cap is 30 riders, with 3 neopros.
Apparently they will take Nils Politt as he is on a cheap contract for another year.
Looks like there won't be space for Dowsett and Stakhov. -

Looks like there won't be space for Dowsett
You would hope his 5th yesterday would mean he'll get some offers
-
• #24589
I think his goal at Katusha was to re-cast himself as a leadout man for Kittel which obviously didn't quite go to plan. That said, you'd have to imagine there's a team out there that needs a workhorse for flatter/sprint stages

That Canyon ad on Eurosport with MVdP is pretty good. Where was that during the Vuelta? Someone seems to have finally got a grip on the really crap ads.

Guaranteed DNF

His job might be to control the race early on, so it might be planned he's a DNF anyway.
(The circuit nature of the Worlds means you usually see a high rate of abandons).

Is today the day for Tom piddcock? I hope so. Shame child care has stopped me going to watch it

Let’s see. His crash in France was a bad one, but he seems optimistic. That could be a bluff, so people focus on him and other GB riders can benefit, but I doubt he’d be in the team if they weren’t convinced he was ready.

Bit crashy and puncturey in the U23s. Grim weather probs not helping.
-
• #24597
It’s going to be pretty gloomy, verging on dark, when the U23s finish.
This doesn’t seem to have been a great worlds from an organisation viewpoint.
