  • Slightly obsessed with the start woman's countdown finger signals. She must have been practicing that.

  • She's also doing English, French, Italian and Spanish countdowns it sounds like

Is the finger signals sequence a uci thing? It wouldn't be how I'd do it and seems a bit unnatural but I think I've seen other comms do it too

  • And German.

It's a niche job, sure, but she's knocked it out of the park.

  • Anyone know what Archibald's plan is for next year ?

  • That Ghanaian's position doesn't look the best...

Some riders appear not to have a spare bike

  • Some of the women riders were supported by neutral service with a road bike on the bike rack...

  • Its surprising the difference in equipment.
    Although also warming

  • Roglic you silly c*nt

  • I don’t think he gave a shit towards the end really. Just wanted to show he was strong.

  • On the other hand, Remco looked like he realised Dennis was beyond him but also didn’t look happy with his final position. Aged 19. Amazing really.

  • If Rochelle Gilmore uses the word 'confident' to describe Rohan Dennis again, I'm going to scream.

  • Don't think anyone was going to deny Rohan Dennis today, reckon Remco would have been closer had he been a bit smoother, his head and helmet looked all over the place, brute forcing his way to second.

  • Contact lenses no good in the wet so he wears glasses?

I've done the same but it's because with a visor is faster but might fog up so glasses are worn underneath to keep grit out of eyes if I ditch the visor.

  • Some riders appear not to have a spare bike

It's a 54k race. If you need a spare bike, your race is already over.

  • He would have lost a few seconds with his sock fixing at the start too. Tbh if you asked any 19 year old Neo pro if they’d take 2nd in the TT I’d imagine they’d bite your hand off. Sign of the times.

  • What channel was she on? BBC? I’ve no idea why people use her as a commentator, she is knowledgeable but painful to listen to.

  • At least it's a real word. Kirby just makes words up.

  • It was the online BBC coverage. She knows her stuff but her delivery is so stilted. 'So, Chris, is it right that two plus two equals four?'. 'Rohan seems very confident'.

  • Carlton Kirby is the epitome of low-hanging fruit in more ways than one.

  • I find commentating on commentators completely convoluted and complaints could be completely controlled by considering the clicking of the mute on the remote control.

  • If commentating on commentators is completely convoluted, how convoluted is commenting on comments consisting of commentating on commentators? Capiche?

  • Imitators idolise, I intimidate, in an instant I rise in an irate state.

Because it might make the next commentator commenter think twice if they know they'll have to deal with 100 picture of Rohan Dennis..

  • What a ride!

  • 100 pictures of Dennis will a make a nice change from the constant stream of pictures of old Aussie Bumface himself.
