  • So gutted about Hugh :((

  • Big crash was before live broadcast and Tejay jumped in a bush before camera bike turned the corner

  • What is it with Tejay? That guy seems to crash way more than average

  • Garmin/EF seem to have a history of riders falling off.

  • Oh ffs. It’s professional cycling, all teams have a history of crashing because crashes are part and parcel of racing.

  • What’s Nathan Haas done to upset the cycling gods? The poor sod is off to Cofidis.

  • No results!?

  • What’s the latest on Katusha folding? Maybe he’s just pleased to have a ride next year.

  • Cofidis and Katusha have effectively the same UCI points for the season so far and that's before their Vuelta points have been counted

  • They're rolling in with correnden

  • Carthy and Uran both broken clavicles. Roche a dozen stitches to his forearm and roadrash. De la Parte broken scapula and ribs.
    Ouch.

  • TJ out.

  • Started with a broken finger apparently. That’s an injury it’s hard to race with.

  • Can’t be bothered to wait for the wittiest moment to post this.

  • New https://www.cyclingnews.com/ site seems to have launched in the past hour. Can anyone find the live feed?

  • Evenpoel attacked on the tour of deutschland stage with over 100km (one hundred) to go

  • 47km to go - Remco is still ahead by now over 3' - bunch is going at moderate speed (from their feed)

  • Cheers. Forget about the official ones!

  • I feel bad for EF. Rotten luck. Vaughters used to have a reputation for being in the wrong place at the wrong time crash-wise when he was a rider, I hope it's not following him around.

I do think that behind the slightly painful attempts at being an interesting team (the fadez, facial hair and fandom) they actually are an interesting team who are currently hosting some quite unconventional riders who might struggle to fit elsewhere. If anyone's a friend of the Cycling Podcast the recent lunch with Jonathan Vaughters episode is really worth listening to.

but you won't listen to Lance?! 😤

  • He's an ex-doper sure but he's also been pretty honest and contrite from what I can see.

That said, I said it was worth listening to, not that I like him. He does hate Lance though..!

  • This climb is nuts

  • Absolutely brutal. Great racing.
