ive got a soft spot for a bit of moto drafting of the home favourites, i find the parochialism amusing.
Alaphilippe is most of the reason this has been such an exciting race. Would be amazing if he could somehow hold on to the yellow jersey. no doubt there will be a few do or die attacks to come

Not only that but they deliberately hold the race in France so the French riders can have a look at the course before. It's all fixed. #geodoping.

Nibs is saving himself for the third week ! Or he is not loaded this year ?
-
• #22380
He's lost over 6 mins already. Saving himself for a stage win in the third week maybe.

It just needs an elderly lady drying her bloomers dangling out of that shutter window.

Today looks like it has potential to be a breakaway riot , if not incredibly significant for GC

Ooft. De Marchi has wrecked himself... Looks a bad one

JA on the attack LOL

Any credibility to this or just standard race banter?

It didn't even contact a wall, so just one of these skinny fuckers falling on it was enough to snap it in two? Snaparello

Good stage, eh.

• #22388
It seems plausible seeing as you would have pulverised it.

There is an advantage to slipstreaming motos. But people want pics.
Ironman drafting sin bin for motos? :)

Great Carlton Kirby moment just then: "It's 50 years since a Frenchman has won a Tour stage on Bastille Day while wearing a yellow jersey".
Rob Hatch: "Oh yes, who was that then?"
CK: "Don't know sorry my internet just went down"

Roche is pushing

Only caught the last couple of days, but this TdF seems so much more interesting without Sky.

I agree that the racing is better when Ineos isn’t controlling things from the 5th day, but there is still time!

Previous doper in the past. But was cleared of probenicide accusations . Thats ok then
-
• #22396
Impey? Cleared of the masking stuff and no other charges, right?
Bit of a freak story but I like him enough to believe it. Well aware that I’d be glad to write off Froome after such a story, despite being cleared.

Daryl Gimpey. Would have preferred Benoot but hey ho. Nice to see Roche at the sharp end-weird that the climbers seemed to struggle the most I really thought Soler and Herrada would have been causing the most trouble on the final climb.

Hmpph.. I usually switch off as soon as the results appear on the screen, so I normally miss the post stage festivities. But today for some reason I was still watching when the podium girls appeared. That practice needs to die very soon.

Wind conditions supposedly favour echelons today, what would otherwise would have been a snoozefest to the line might turn out interesting for GC.
Fuglsang and Mollema both accusing Alaphillipe and Pinot of benefitting from the slipstream of the camera bike yesterday.
