The lip he hit looks like the border of a bike lane

Retaining Alaphillipe can't have been cheap...

That's an odd move. I know he still gets to race the tour but I would have thought some other world tour teams would have been happy to hire him. That said, I think sprinters leaving quickstep tend not to have great records in the years after leaving; combine that with what I assume is a pretty hefty salary then I would assume it's scaring people off.
Degenkolb to Lotto-Soudal is also an odd one; they seem to have a decent classics team anyway and it seems his best years in the classics are behind him.

I think Carlton Kirby just said "it is what it is"

Can't quite work out if Cavendish got back on after being dropped 50k out on a cat 3 climb or his day ended there and then, but a bad day at the office either way. http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/tour-of-slovenia-2019/stage-1/results/

He finished 10 mins down, his teammate Nizzolo came 2nd though.

Matt Stephens taking a e-bike out on a ride with Fabian Cancellera is top notch trolling

So inevitably the more bonkers parts of the net are saying Froome's crash was faked, although no-one seems to know to what end. Cyclingtips even rendered a breathy "we aren't saying it, but this is what the conspiracists are saying and why" article in minute detail. That place has become proper clickbait.

The same was said about Bernal.
I do like how on cycling news (which has the worst comment section and advertising pop ups) the way they swung it was that the only people outside of Ineos that saw it were British and everyone is in on it.
-
• #21838
Seen the pop ups on cycling news, how to make shit website even more shit in one foul swoop.
Its acute conformation bias: they have seen the picture of Froome in the hospital bed and decided he looks far good for someone who has been in a bad crash and undergone surgery. Dickheads, dickheads everywhere....

I just realised they have a forum haha i presume no one actually likes cycling on that website based on the fact that everyone seems to be doping.
-
• #21840
Yeah their forums are a shitshow. And no because you see there are good dopers and there are bad dopers. To be a good doper you have to be from Italy or Spain, ride with panache and have a hard luck story. Bad dopers are anyone from North-Europe, anyone that rides for a rich team, or anyone 'anglo', so the Brits, the Yanks and the Aussies.

Dumoulin confirmed to miss the Tour.
Maybe it is TJ’s year?
-
• #21842
Why isn’t Uran on anyone’s radar btw? Runner up two years ago and the course should suit him.
-
• #21843
He has been pretty much under the radar so far this year?
EF have loads of excellent riders, would be interesting to see who’s on the team for the tour. -
• #21844
Fuglsan must be up there.
-
• #21845
Why? He’s had a strong season so far, but his GT record is nothing to write home about. What makes so many people certain that is about to change?
-
• #21846
It is looking very open now. Couple of big names out, no-one looking in great form.
-
• #21847
It's Bardets year

Maybe it is TJ’s year?
Pinot mate, it's gotta be Pinot

Can't see it, but would be delighted if he did manage it.
Is it a curse or are climate protesters sabotaging the bikes?
