Remco Evenepol can we get a definitive pronunciation guide please, I think we're going to need it.
-
• #21805
Native English speakers have difficulty producing the long 'e' at the start of the surname (and the 'r' at the start of the first name). Other than that, it's plain sailing. :)

Ferocious attack by Jesús Herrada on Ventoux today https://twitter.com/mrconde/status/1140619086981996545

• #21807
Herrada seems indecently strong... but perhaps Bardet is not at peak yet. I suppose it may not have helped that it was a day after the Dauphine

Isn’t this one of those “races”?
-
• #21809
Was the slowest ascent in a race ever. Charly Gaul was faster in 1958
-
• #21810
It doesn't? Gaul 1:02, Herrada 58
Nvm, didn't see the distance difference at first. -
• #21811
Vaughters a minute slower than Mayo. How anyone ever thought those times were honest is beyond me.

Gaul would very possibly have been like a portable chemistry set like good ol' Tommy

That favourite game 'Guess the team-mate' again:
Thomas’ Ineos team-mate and fellow Tour de France winner was put in intensive care after crashing on a recon of the stage four time trial of the Critérium du Dauphiné, losing four pints of blood and suffering multiple fractures.
(Names often fall by the wayside in sloppy sub-editing.)

But yes, hope
Thomasour mate G isn't badly injured and is able to start the Tour. -

It’s Gerbo for real mates.

Inner Ring said he was able to take off his jersey and put on a jacket at the roadside which may indicate nothing is broken.
Stress on the word 'may'.
-
• #21820
Yea i read that. The way he's sitting here I immediately though broken collarbone. Hopefully not
-
• #21821
Isn't Bernal just back from a broken collarbone?
-
• #21822
Yes. Hope the Curse of Ineos™ doesn't hit him, too.
-
• #21823
Some footage on the twitter site below shows him moving around alright - nothing appears to be broken just some road rash - but I ain't a sawbones

Would this curse lift if Jim Ratcliffe paid UK income tax?

Thomas given the all clear;

They usually provide two versions of a stage, one with commentary and one without. It came be blissful, especially if Carlton Kirby is on commentating duties.
Fuglsang is third favourite according to the bookmakers, behind Thomas and Bernal. Make of that what you will.
