  • Don't need to enter those feeble training rides especially since I'm faster than the author of Faster already.

  • Must be at least a bit slippery with those numbers.

  • Whereas the D2Z "team" are getting by stealing Simon Smart's instant coffee...

  • I should be able to do some analysis on that if I have time today, I have data from the Aus Nationals TT recently. Someone ages ago said Bobridge had a CdA of ~0.185 in the tunnel but that sounds a bit low to me. Possible, but low - and with his typical forward position and high head, pretty unlikely.

  • Bobridge's attempt will start at 8 AM GMT tomorrow, anyone know where to find a stream or broadcast? UCI YouTube channel doesn't show it as planned, only the CX worlds

  • Is that a height thing?

Bobridge is a short stocky guy. Totally different build compared to say Wiggins.

I do the sufferfest TT vid 'the long scream' a lot. That has Bobridge, Cance, Wiggo, and Martin. Its pretty interesting (and a welcome distraction) watching the differing techniques and positions.

  • 9 CET right?

  • the countdown is showing but i dled hola for any geo restrictions as im watching from the u.s. what country should i switch to?

  • Rumania is pretty reliable

  • Being tall won't help your CdA because of the unavoidable frontal area. You can get a low CdA with a fairly normal looking position but I just don't think they'd stick him into a team pursuit >0.02m^2 lower than everyone else (which is the ballpark figure I saw).

Looking forward to the attempt, I have everything ready to graph up his splits so they'd better not cut to a bloody ad break!

  • You might want to find multiple feeds. I have no idea if that youtube one is legit or any others.

  • I don't think I can listen to this commentator for an hour!

  • Aussiest!

  • It seems to be working. Here he goze...

  • Surprised he's using a short-tail helmet.

"Some pom's gonna have a go later..."

    That's commentator fuckin' gold!

  • He's going the distance, he's going for speed!

  • Love that song.

  • here we go. keirin heats were good warmup to this too.

  • "Well under record pace"

  • Hardly glued the the black line is he, I thought he was a trackie?

  • He's got quite a high position (for a pro). Is this usual for him?

  • Using the banking a little. It's easier to swing up and down a little bit around the bends than strictly hold the line. I'm sure he knows what's up.
