In all honesty the S3 keeps topping my shortlist because its glossy red.

I've made enquiries into the Neil Pryde Nazare 2, Argon 18 Nitrogen, and some others. But as they're New they're a bit off Budget.

I think I'd be really happy on a shiney red S3.

basically decided that after all this faff and bullshit about fitting and saddles and back pain and sizes and so forth that I shall only be purchasing custom bikes from now.

Race bike geo with fat tyres makes sense if it's flat I guess. It's been around a while.

frayed cables, front derailleur shim, mismatched tyres, stack of spacers, weird dropbars, old 105 shifters, white cables, weird cable routing. No thanks.

Weird bike - those flared style dirt drops are designed to be ridden predominantly in the drop position. If that's his saddle height that's a massive drop! Fine if your flexible and want to get low and out of the wind on a beach - useless just about everywhere else.

You, @edscoble and @JB seem to be in competition as to who can buy and sell bikes on as quickly as possible.

Nicely understated styling. It is my SS/fixed winter trainer and I am happy with it so far.

What seems to be the best bang for buck through axle equipped offering? Saracen Avro looks really awesome but was really hoping for Dura Ace/Force.

2015 Genesis Equilibrium disc. Looks very tidy in the bumblebee colour scheme. Quite tempting if they will be offering as a frameset. Also has the TRP HY/RD cable actuated hydraulics - which I never knew existed! Seems the perfect solution for using existing levers - I wonder is standard SRAM shifters/levers would work OK? Proves I need to read about more bikes and tech...
