Updated this morn, doubt I will on for a day or so... who's in for a big meet up sometime next week? Need to get geared up again asap and hold down an area.

I have been thoroughly distracted by Destiny but would be up for a big meet up!

Just tried .49. Spawned next to a fire axe. Also cranked up my settings and it's still running smooth! In your face pc nerds!

Morning edit: Still pretty excited by the fact I can run it at decent settings - really ought to learn about all this graphics lark. Changes the entire game. Logged on for 5 mins and now fully camo'd up and even found a protective case. Hopefully will be ok once I get into more busy areas. Keen for a team up asap, maybe Mon/Tues as prob not about over the weekend.

@CYOA nah, just worked out I don't actually have ot run it on super low. Basically, I know nothing about windows or PC games but know how much PC folk whine about Macs and games on them so cranked everything down to minimum.
Turned it all on to normal and did a couple of tests and I'm still all good. Whole new world. Really want to get a good session in asap.
@Vesalius get on asap man, lets have it! I've played ten mins and have ok gear, lucky spawn.

For the record, Quad i7, 1GB 650m and SSD. Might even dabble with some "high" settings.

Is the thermometer in the game rectal? If so that could be interesting. Crouch down to use thermometer, zombie spots you and you are caught with your pants down.

Was well equipped and healthy, ran down some stairs and the game forgot gravity exists and i sort of drifted down over the stairs where i landed at the bottom and promptly died. Teeriffic.

Was on that French server last night and a guy came up to me, we said bonjour, he was naked and started punching me. I had a pick-axe and just as I swung at his face I got disconnected. Annoyed.

Honestly can't remember. Might have been something by FrankieOnPc but I can't for the life of me recall. Did I say anything else?

@CYOA Yeah, I have been KOS on that server and randomly shot in the head after hanging out with some folks for 10 mins... getting in a good way is a bit of a grind and I swear Zombies are A LOT harder to hit with melee weapons... landed what looked like around 50 hits on one z but she didn't go down and in the end I bled out and lost some more good gear. Annoying again. Crossed paths with a mute geared(ish) player only to find him again 5 mins later facedown with one dead Z next to him. Not sure what happened but he only had a spade so bet melee issues...

Hopefully I will get in a better way by the end of the weekend... SKS and fire axe atm, just need to find enough food to get healthy and avoid those damn bandits.

Am rather recklessly in Cherno atm with a Blaze Double Rifle and a cold.

Cattle Prod is shit by the way. I think it's got the same melee damage as a screwdriver but better range so you can keep them at bay. It certainly doesn't stun zombies like I'd hoped.

I'm not sure where I am, largish town, on the coast, plane crashed in the middle, ish.
Haven't seen any tents or rain jackets yet, which makes me think "going to ground" when you are well geared might pose problems if colds can kill...
Hopefully I will live long enough to find out what happens, might do a trek to somewhere military once I have worked out where I am.
