How and where did you get these for £95?!

Ebay. Was £90 plus £5 delivery. Bargain, but I did lose a day of my life making them look good again.

Sorting out the pedals now. I got some second hand pedals off eBay just needed overhauling and some new dust caps.
NOS toe clips
NOS little bag of nuts for fixing the clips to the pedals, also came with some dropout screws
NOS Cinelli straps
Creative exploded photo
Complete pedal
Just need to do the other one now.

Jeezus that's well done! I have a pair that need some love, what was your exact process?

I'm doing the other pedal this morning. Will take pictures

Have you got the frame back from the painters yet? As keen as an 8 year old waiting for Christmas presents to see the finished frame.

I have a feeling this build is going to be a real black eye for every other person on here thats "restored" a bike.

It raised the bar already :)
Which is good. -

Been working today so no progress on the other pedal. Frame's back though. No decent photos, just iphone in the garden photos.

Light blue is metallic and then dark blue is candy (sorry not sure of UK term for this). Had to ask for a darker base to get the color I wanted.

They spelled De Rosa wrong.

Ouuu not sure about the blue two tone..

It looks awesome in reality. Was tempted to get the head tube lugs in a metallic silver but for an extra £100 I resisted the temptation.
The famous green Bishop frame was my inspiration for the paint job

Other pedal done and detailed for @chrisbmx116
Tools needed - cone scanners, 11mm ratchet driver and dust cap tool (MKS ones fit campag too)
Remove dust cap, then use the 11mm ratchet driver to remove the locknut on the pedal spindle. Using the cone spanners remove the outer cone and washer then slide out the pedal spindle. Remove the bearings and then clean all parts with white spirits.
I found this cover ^ on the inside of the pedal impossible to remove without damaging it so I cleaned as best as possible.
Let it all dry out so there isn't any white spirit in there as it will break down the new grease.
My fave lube
Grease and pack new bearings into pedal
Slide the spindle in
Screw the cone on.
Put the cone washer on and wipe the threads on the spindle with a cloth to remove any grease.
Rub a tiny amount of this stuff (or similar anti seize paste) on the threads
Get the pedal feeling smooth spinning but not too loose where there is play and not tight where there is a noticeable clicking feel of the bearings. Then tighten the locking bolt using a cone spanner on the cone and the 11mm ratchet driver. Once happy with pedal clean the threads of grease on the inside of the pedal for the dust cap.
Put a tiny amount of the anti seize paste on the dustcap and screw it in.
Done.

Great stuff. About to do that in the next couple of days on the Gipiemme pedals.
Thanks! And so far, really great and informative project.

But, but, how did you clean up the outsides?
-
• #99
I really really need to do this to my pedals and cranks.
But I can't be arsed.
