  • ^ this!

  • looks awesome, love those colours!

  • Slight diversion - what's the best email to get hold of Rychtarski on? Could someone PM it to me? I've tried the one on his site but no response yet...

  • bikes4you(at)bikes4you.pl

  • Cheers! Does he normally take a while to reply to requests?

  • he's probably on annual leave

  • What BB system you got there?

  • Ridden it quite a bit now and it handles like a dream.

    Here in CXAllRoadTrialBikeMode.

  • How is this NOT on prolly yet!?

  • I sent him the photos last time. Haven't with this bike. Not sure if i will.

  • dream bike right there

  • Swapping the gruppo, bars and some other parts onto another frame for winter abuse.

You guys have any advice for new 42-44cm compact bars under 250g and straight seatpost under 200g?

  • Thomson Masterpiece at 240mm?

  • Really nice build !

  • Thanks Ed. Looks like a contender. Should be fairly strong too.

Have been looking at the Fizik Cyrano Bull bars. The Alu ones (R3) is €49 and ~250g and Carbon (R1) €150 and ~200g.

    Worth the extra €100?

  • No.

  • Alu Cyrano it is.

Also took shipment of a 105 5800 gruppo. Some might wonder why you'd go from Force to the heavier 105, but the reviews have been great and considering what a workhorse group the previous 105 was, a bigger range plus better shifting sounded very interesting. First impression of the parts is great. The finish is ofc not up there with the more expensive groupsets, but it looks like tons of value for £300.

  • 105 is shit hot for £300. Mine has been bulletproof.

  • Installing the cranks, but there's still a ~5mm gap between driveside crankarm and bb cup. Even after hitting it with the mallet. Is even more brute force needed? First time installing Shimano cranks. All previous Sram cranks have gone in easily.

  • I had the same issue with shimano mountainbike cranks, hitting it with a mallet killed my bearings so I wouldn't do that.

Had no problems with the same cranks on a new bottom bracket.

  • Weird. Both crank and bb are brand new and came together.

  • Maybe you need some spacers between the bb cup and the frame?

  • For 68mm BB you need x2 2.5mm spacers driveside and x1 2.5mm spacer non-driveside

  • That can't be right. Then the non-driveside crank will sit halfway on the axle.
