Why are these always when I'm busy? Wedding this thime
-
• #103
Doh! It's the Tour de Broads on Sunday, might be able to make it after though as the last one was good fun!
-
• #104
Will aim to ride a little more sensibly this time if I can make it!
-
• #105
You were riding non-sensibly?
-
• #106
@hudsoncjnr there was nothing wrong with your riding last week?
You and Lawrence should both come and have a 'who's got the noisiest wheels' competition!
-
• #107
@jakjakjak ha, great minds.
-
• #108
Apparently not then...I didn't want to be ruining the ride by riding faster than others and leaving big gaps etc, not a boast post - was just enjoying have a blast and the gorgeous weather we had!
My wheels are so annoyingly loud!

Yeah it is difficult holding yourself back sometimes, but equally there're no point coming out and not enjoying yourself. I feel it's fair game to smash up hills if you want to, as long as you then don't mind waiting at the top. And if you put the power down on the flat, again, as long as someone's watching the back of the group, and we all bunch up at some point soon after it's fine.
I think the only real splits we had were after Intwood Rd, in Newton Flotman, and just before we got to White Horse Lane, which considering we had a real range of abilities and covered some varying terrian was pretty good going I think.
Psyched for Sunday already now - amazing how much more fun it is riding in a group.

It's usually a little different each time, but we often cover a few of the same roads just because they're fun.
Jack has a complex system of route planning to mix it around, so it could be something wildly different; he totally doesn't just make it up the morning before we go...

Balls! It's always when I'm busy too:( always end up on lonely ride... Boo hoo! Will deff make it at some point.
-
• #113

I'll see if i've got time to come to this one. Add a bit of disc 'whom' to the noisy wheels competition!
-
• #114
Don't think I'll make this one but I can make next weeks...
-
• #115
Ah that's a shame. Not sure if it'll necessarily be weekly, but there'll be one at the end of September as normal if there isn't one before.
-
• #116
Going to see our friends new baby, if we're back in the city in time I'll be coming along...fingers crossed!!
-
• #117
Aha - get in the door, look at the baby, say it's cute, out the door - let's ride!
-
• #118
Haha, hopefully get there early doors, let him puke on my clothes, have to go home...Lycra on, ride bike - happy ending! (Not like that...)
-
• #119
^ Jiggle him around in a fun way. Always ensure the puke.
That said, it's hard to get out again so wear something old... -

Just a bump for the Dandy Ride tomorrow - meet at the shop at 4pm, leave at 5pm, 20 miles, all welcome.
-
• #122
Haven't been able to put out a newsletter yet for technical reasons, but this coming sunday, we ride again. Same time, same place, but a bit further and a bit faster, and with a few more 'alpine speedbumps.'
In short, a more challenging but still social ride.
Chris will try to be there, providing sensible riding as always :p
-
• #123
I might now, my bike is more sensible looking at least!
Am I fit enough for that pace and distance fixed?!
-
• #124
Yeah, it'll never be too fast for fixed, as most of us will be riding fixed/ss anyway!
-
• #125
please make the one after slow and short again so i can join in, ha.
ANOTHER DANDY SOCIAL RIDE - SUNDAY 7th - MEET AT SHOP 4PM, LEAVE AT 5PM - 20 MILES/STEADY PACE - LYCRA OPTIONAL/NOT A RACE - ALL WELCOME!!!
Last week was so successful @jakjak rightfully pointed out that monthly rides while the weather is still good is too long to wait, so, we go again this Sunday.
Hope to see @hudsoncjnr there again, as well as some more fresh faces. We spend all day talking about our bikes, let's get out and ride them!
