I have my sister plus family down that weekend, this could be an excellent reason to avoid them. The kids will probably want to come along and eat ice cream with us, but I doubt that would be appropriate.

Not sure. The articles seem to say that the new one is opening this weekend, but the old one may be there until the end of the month. Does that mean the ride will have to do two stops in very quick succession?

I suppose I could do a reccie at lunch sometime this week.
