• Hup!

    Tonight!

  • Are you coming, hippy?

    Just heading off.

  • This was lovely.

The film was a nice little summary of Eileen's record-breaking and the forum's own Jacqui interviewed her. Lots of questions that led to sharing many interesting reminiscences.

    Sadly no hippy.

Great to see skydancer, l.a.u.r.a., and Jacqui.

Various other people, too, who aren't on the forum, shock horror.

  • No, hippy has other responsibilies. :(

  • Hippy I just touched down in London and got some wheels, heard about your legendary status at a bike shop tonight and learned about lfgss. Good going and ride together soon. Cheers Bexpress.

  • ha bogan express nice to see you jump on here straight away. nice to see/ride with you earlier... see you at south easts (same place) on tuesday...

forum go easy on this one, he seems to be ok on first inspection...

  • HatBeard, new friend. Cheers for the ride, the chat, the beer and especially the heads up when the pedestrians were walking from behind that cab (owe you one). I'll be along on Tuesday for a brewski. Seriously you and your mate are good blokes (sorry everyone else for the thread hijack). HatBeard what was the name of that shop? it was SO SICK! and that lady was absolutely lovely.

  • Cycle PS, 41 Camberwell Church St, London SE5 8TR

  • Thanks for pics Skydancer, and cheers all who supported it from here. Can't wait to attend another screening.

  • This. An absolute legend. Well worth the trip East.

    Nice one Howard!

  • Another screening of this Eileen Sheridan film next Monday September 8 at The Calthorpe Arms, 252 Grays Inn Road, in WC1 at 7.30 sharp

It's a short, preceding a feature* about Beryl Burton

    (*I think)

    @hippy and everyone else

  • Thanks for the heads up Skulls

  • Me and some of the LFGSS ladeez are up for this - Bothwell mentioned something about needed to register with the film club to attend. Do we need to? If so, how?

    TA!

  • Try asking @Zebra_Cyclist, he and a couple of other forum people organise HBFC which I think are screening it. I'm posting about it after getting an invite from the producer/director, Tony. Not certain if you can't just rock up tbh.

  • You're welcome mate.

  • This is what I thought but will check with Adam. Ta!

  • Hope to see you there!

  • Yes we are showing Come on Eileen at our September 8th show along with 'Racing is Life the Beryl Burton story' so thats this Monday.

I had kind of given up posting our shows here because I was getting such a poor showing from LFGSS members but if people are interested in being on the mailing list and a programme we have a monthly bicycle film show on the second Monday of the month, drop us an e-mail at hbfs2011@gmail.com.

For future notice our January show will be 'A Sunday in Hell' this will also be our 5th birthday not bad for something I thought would only last 6 months.

  • Great, thanks Zebs.

  • Yes! Thanks here too. Will send an email - we don't need to register in advance or owt then?

And show starts (be sat down and shut up) at 7.30pm rather than doors/whateves?

Will there be an interval and choc ices? ; )

    Questions, questions, questions!

  • You do not need to book, there are no tickets because it is free yes the show starts at 7:30 there is always 30 mins of shorts followed by a break and then the main show. The pub does excellent food and I am sure he will do ice cream.
I would get there early for a seat as 43 have signed up on Facebook and the room will take 50 at a squease though usually only 50% of those who say they will come on Facebook turn up
