Snow on the descent of the Gavia, looks horrific.
As much as I like to see high mountains, sometimes rider safety concerns are paramount and today looks like one of those days.

From cyclingnews: "A few television stations are talking about the stage being called off or rather speculating as to whether it should happen."
Please don't - I like when you can't make the calculation (on many levels, and in my life as well).

It's getting farcical now. Race radio stated the race was going to be neutralised on the descent (hell, they even tweeted it on the official account), now they are saying it was the wrong information and the descent isn't neutralised.
Uran is well back, having ridden the descent thinking it was neutralised and some of the other GC riders might be a minute or more ahead.
The tweet was deleted btw. Madness.

Quintana is apparently 2 minutes ahead of Uran.
-
• #525
Now it appears it might be the other way around, that Uran is ahead of Quintana.
Voila! Live on French TV now.
