  • Awesome ^

  • Amazing. What are the big letters for?

  • Interesting .. the pictures published before on the web from inside have been focused on individual operations so it was good to see some overviews.

  • I dint know what the letters were for. I was also lucky enough to see their two entries for this year's NAHBS. Both are serious bits of kit.
    No photos allowed obvs

  • Wheels finished this afternoon. Laced in pub, trued up at home.

Chris King R45 to H+Son TB14 with Sapim Laser spokes and Secure Lock Nipples. I've put on some Challenge Parigi-Roubaix. It was a real wrestle to get them, I've never had to fight so hard in all my life to get a tire on a rim. Fingers are sore.

  • The tires are 700x27c but on these rims measure up at 30mm. 80psi my friend...

  • You're going to get a massive amount of practice at getting them on and off if my experience of those tyres is anything to go by.

  • Oh no. Are they puncture monkeys?

  • I averaged a puncture per ride, no lie.

  • you'll get a better view of the bike from the side of the road so don't worry :)

  • They're a lovely supple tyre, the rubber is very soft and they rode very nicely, but they've got zero protection against anything sharp.

I suspect that putting strips like those in would spoil the ride quality, but I've never used them so I'm not really qualified to say.

  • They apparently have DOUBLE PPS protection...? It's unlikely an ***Italian ***bicycle parts manufacturer would tell a lie, no?

  • I have those tyres on wide rims and run very low pressure. I use puncture protection strips in mine and they're great.
Edit. very few p*nctures and the ride is a very supple sensation.

Maybe they have changed them since I used them- I got them for the P-R sportive, and then didn't dare use them as they let their air out so often.

Ironically, they would probably have been fine on the cobbles, as there was no flint in sight.

  • For those that care the wheelset weighed in at 1865g including skewers.

I've just realised the frame needs a band-in front mech or braze-on + adaptor. What size will it be 31.8? The post is a 27.2

    ;-)

  • 28.6 I'd have thought if it's steel?

  • Had the p-r and like dammit had noting but punctures. Now i have the strada bianca and have very few punctures (atleast in comparison). They are 60g heavier or somtin like that.

Tires can be a very individual experience so perhaps yours are bombproof!
    They do ride very nice!

  • is it pronounced cheelo or seelo?

  • chello?

  • I read it as the Spanish for heaven or sky "seeaylo" not to good at phonetics but hopefully you get the idea.
