  • Q: What time are we finishing on the Sunday?
A: Timetable suggests the final should finish by 7, however the court is booked until 9 to allow for possible over-runs.

Q: Any developments concerning format / groups?
A: Just expecting to do a straight Swiss Rounds with all 28 teams. I'm not sure we have so many that we need to group it. If we're wrong about that let us know.
Aiming for 5 Swiss rounds then double elim - hopefully for all 28 teams but it'll depend on how well we run to time. At least for top 24.

  • Nah, it actually sounds fine.

Just for reference, on 2 courts, 28 team double elim would take about 10.5 hours, using typical timings and breaks in play.

  • s u all soon so ...

  • what time does it start on saturday?

  • 9am. Sharp. Please be there before then.

Doors open at 9, but we want to register people before then to get games underway straight away.

If you are really going to struggle making that time please let us know and we may be able to defer games until later in the round, however if people haven't arrived in time I'm afraid forfeiture will be unavoidable.

  • What time is the polo party train back to London on the sunday?

    Any sofas still available?

  • I think we're going to try and set up a table to have a bring and buy sale if anyone has bike/polo stuff to get rid of at the open next week....

  • Can we update the list? Joe can't make it so me and sean are playing with hayden. Team name tbc. Thanks!

  • Yes nik!!!

I'm looking for a long black stem, either 130mm or 140mm, any bar diameter, ta.

  • Podium's prediction (based on stats from previous results)

  • Ha, nice feature.

    Pro (Shimano) 130mm, matte 31.8mm, 6ish degrees.

Barely used, can take a pic later.

  • The car-booty is going to be off the hook at this one.

  • believe!

    keen for pics

  • So sadly Iain can't make it anymore, and Chucker is deep in work shizz so is looking unlikely too. However, Ben Puncture and I are still up for playing but we need a 3rd. If anyone is interested PM me or Ben. Really want to play, so if you are up for a last minute tourney please get in touch!

  • Wee cross post...

I'm going to make it down to Bristol on Sunday and super stoked to see you all... Before I left London I started that free cycle/cheap sell off thread... http://www.lfgss.com/thread114981.html

I didn't get a lot of stuff to people so I'll bring a bag of bits with me... If you wanted something your dibs still stand (just updated the OP with what's still on offer)... If you want something on the list come find me...

    Big Love.

Look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

  • Apologies if this has already been covered but just checking... How are things running on Saturday? 10 minutes games? First to 5 or unlimited goals? Draws (booooo) or golden goal for games?

  • We're doing first to five, max ten minutes, allowing draws.

Sorry - probably not popular options but it's the best way to get us to run to time, which seems the most important thing.

Hoping to unlimit the goals for the elim, but it's going to depend on what time we start it.

  • Makes sense with the limited time, thanks for the clarification

  • Do two Londoners want to group save with Ryan and I? We're thinking of heading down Friday evening (7.15pm) or Saturday morning (early).

We'd have to travel together on the way back too, whatever train Sunday evening once everything's done.

It'd be £27.50 each (£55 super off peak tickets, 4 for the price of 2).
