This is great, I am very tempted to come join. Thanks for setting it up.
Is there any chance of setting up a similar thing on the road course?
They don't allow brakeless bikes on the road course but with a club I'm sure the case would be different, I've emailed the guy that runs the joint for more information.
Would be fun to do some SS/FG races and with your own bike. I'm not interested in geared bikes and they seem to be the only races currently available.
Aside from that, straight up single-speed/fixed riding would be fun if others are not into racing.

Do you mean the road course in Hillingdon?

There is a single space left for tomorrow and I am just about to prepare an email containing all of the information you will need and to sort the list of bikes for LVP to get ready.
Given that there was a lot of interest in using the extra hour, and given that we're fully booked (31 out of 32 tickets sold)... we're just going to run 16 riders for the first 90 minutes, and 16 riders in the subsequent 90 minutes... as this means that no time is wasted handing bikes back and forth, and readying stuff.
This means some of you can have a lay-in, and others need to be there really early (track centre and ready to ride by 8:30am).
The details will be in the email, along with instructions for organising who is riding in which batch (initial order will be based on your ability and availability of track bikes, after that it's a free-for-all).
The track will be open to spectators, so you can stick around for the whole session even though you're only on-track for some of the time.
Emails will be sent to the email addresses you used to purchase your tickets.

it starts...
I've ordered two, 1 for me and one for a friend.. I assume we'll be placed together as I'm staying at his place to make life easier in the morning etc etc

Oh, and by re-structuring it into 2 x 90 minute sessions for 16 riders... not only do you get more time on the track (less faffing around), but the extra 30 minutes every rider gets is free.
Basically, we can save the cost of an extra coach if we don't need the coaches to be handling more than 16 people in track centre at any time.
Also, the coach we have is on LFGSS, it is RPM.
Simple message to all riders, let's make it easy for him, the smoother this session goes the more sessions we can run in future.

All sensible things will happen, you'll be fine.

If it makes any difference to pre-allocate bikes, I bought some cleats so will be clipless

My train in from Norwich doesn't arrive until 8.30am so I would appreciate it if I could be put in the second group. Hope I've caught you in time.

I'm happy to be in the early group. I only live a couple of miles away.

I'm good to go early, as this seems a less popular choice. Or late, as long as I get on the track =).

I don't mind early either
Damned! Did I changed my gearing for nothing then? I was already on 49X15!! Really confused now...
Saying that, looking at this it would appear that 47X15 and 50X16 are both same GI:
I'll bring both my chainrings just in case I got it wrong...
Could be interested in this...
