    Would it be unwise to do a 60 mile ride the Friday before doing the DD? I need to move myself and a bike from Oxford to Hertfordshire and don't really want to have to deal with the trains on a Friday night. I'm cycling 21 miles a day at the moment getting to and from work so think my basic cycling fitness is ok, just wondering if I'd massively regret having those miles in my legs on the Saturday!

    I'm a newbie to the dynamo and forum rides. I'll be riding fixed , I'm assuming the majority of this list are? Glastonbury won't help my training though. What time are you all planning on heading off?

    Dammit. You're right. what am I thinking? Last year I promised it would be running in alternate years, mainly because I wasn't in any kind of condition to ride the whole London Fields-Dalston route.

    To be honest, that first year was pretty challenging, so I'd been considering a new route this year:

    Leave London Fields with the main Dunwich crowd along Ellingfort Road.
    Turn Left onto Mare St.
    Turn right towards the bike racks outside the Wetherspoons pub.
    Lock up and stay there.

    Would it be unwise to do a 60 mile ride the Friday before doing the DD?     Nah.

    Just take it easy on the Friday. If you're doing 21 miles a day you'll be sound.

    I got my confirmation email, registration number, bar code, printable receipt, all that for from Southwark Cyclists. It's for two people & two bikes. I'm selling on one but I donut know how to give the buyer his/her ticket. Am I missing something? Is there something calling itself an actual ticket that I've missed?

    You queue up by the pub at london fields on the day and exchange your barcode receipt thingy for an actual ticket. This takes quite a while but I guess it is so Southwark cyclists have a realistic idea of how many people they will need to bring back. Otherwise bedwetters would upset the logistics of the whole thing....

    ^^ if you type 'Cree' into eBay it gives you lots of options of Twin Q5 sets with a free rear light, I believe this was the one going around last year.

    I was having a look there too but I was sure somewhere in this thread there was a few comments about best/cheapest lights for the ride but had a look through and couldn't see it.

    This is no longer true. If you've bought a ticket you'll get an email detailing what to do.
