Greetings Oliver,
Above^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is an example of our 'Classic' sense of humour....
The snow should be mostly gone by early April, so hopefully all will be fine on the Saarf Babylon-don Alps.
I hope all is well and look forward to seeing you on the ride.
Give thanks,
Tim -

My sister was once chatted up by Jimmy Pursey
I was at Reading Festival backstage with a mate who suffers from alopecia. Jimmy Pusey walked by well worse for wear and says "wow, great camouflage haircut mate"

Greetings and love,
Well let's park Jimmy Pursey in the bin after that one..... I hope your friend came back with a suitable reply...
In another life I did attend the Reading Festival 3 times in the mid to late 1980's. One of my favourite moments was seeing Bonnie Tyler. I cannot condone this behaviour, but at the time it seemed customary to show your 'appreciation' of the acts on stage by urinating in a plastic bottle and then hurling it stage-wards.
This behaviour reached it's peak when the lovely Bonnie took to the stage. She took it all in her stride and was baiting the crowd bless her.
So back on topic. This Sunday will be 4 weeks to go...
I hope the training is going well.
Give thanks,
Tim -

Turns out I'm now going to be in Germany this weekend riding up their big German hills on a big German mountain biek. It'll be fun but I'm still gutted to drop out.

Make sure you let the good people at the London Classic know - there's a big ole waiting list!
Apols if this is obvious/you already have but you'll be making someone happy with the news!

Anyone looking for a spot?
I think I need to drop out because I'll be sliding down big Canadian hills on a piece of fibreglass.
I'm sad that I'll have to miss it but happy that I'll be in Canada.

Greetings Indra,
Why would you want to slide down hills in Canada on fibreglass when you can skid down Babylon-don's hills on carbon / steel?
You will be missed...
Give thanks and 4 weeks to go peeps,

Dear Cobblemonster,
It is with great regret that I inform you that I will be unable to attend the London Classic this year. I have been sent to America for work, so I'm not even going to get to do something else fun instead.
I know you have a long waiting list for this ride, so hopefully someone else will get to enjoy it as much as I have in the last few years.
Kind Regards,
Doctor Cake

LIKE FLIES I TELLS YOU.
Is it all the talk of that hill?
-
• #294
Believe me, I'd much rather be climbing up Canobie Hill than sitting in a dark conference room on a Sunday.

Canonbie scared them off?
DC, when you say you going to Merka for work. Hows long you stopping for?
-
• #296
It's in and out, no stopping I'm afraid. Fly out to San Diego on April 5, fly back on April 10.
I'm going again in June to St Louis though, so no shortage of fun in USA customs for me this year...
