In the future, everyone will own Vulpine for fifteen minutes.

When it's my turn I'll rename the rain jacket the "pretty good in a lot of situations as long as it's not rain" jacket.

Can't wait.

You'd need silver bullets and wooden stakes to kill this brand
-
• #731
I think it’s dead. Only the owners don’t seem to realise it. It should be renamed Albatross.cc

aaaaaand they're back. Just got an email promoting their site with a 20% off voucher code

• #733
Yeah I know. £300 for a jacket, £75 for a jersey. All of which were a fraction of that as they were going under for the first or second time. None of it is really that new.

• #734
So they're going for the Rapha strategy.

Also saw Matt Stephens of GCN/commentary-fame is influencing for them on Insta. What an embarrassment.
-
• #737
It's badly worded, but it's just saying "yeah, no helmet on the model, deal with it" as a probably ineffectual defence against comments pointing it out. Or is that not what you meant?
-
• #738
There was a kerfuffle about Vulpine ads setting a bad example or some such shite, because some of the models were lidless. Probably trying to head that off in advance...
-
• #739
Didn't he model for Vulpine model at one point?
-
• #740
I find these Frahm jackets to be horrible. Not really sure where they’re going with those

Bankrupt? Again?

Now owned by SportPursuit I believe
Edit - this has already been discussed, but I understand it to still be the case despite <15 mins having elapsed

In the market for a new commuter jacket. The Vulpine Harringtons always used to be good, anyone got experience of the current ones? Or should I avoid now they're owned by whoever it is?

I have an old ladies model with the reflective strips in the arms, it's pretty good. It'll allow water in at some point but keeps me warm and better than boil in the bag.
But the newer ladies model w/o the strips (3 years ago?) and tail flap has thinner fabric and isn't as water resistant.
So I'd factor in what model you used to have, and check what fabric they use on their new ones.

Thanks!
Sounds like it's worth seeing one in the flesh, looks like Velorution has stopped stocking them tho, they used to have the full range in the store.

like minds are attracted I guess. No idea how Pure get away with selling electric scooters with only the tiniest disclaimer on their website about how you can't legally use them anywhere but private land

Maybe they're a bit waterproof now they've changed material.

Dunno who owns the brand these days but their customer service is decent enough.
Ordered a pair of the Opus jeans at half price a couple of weeks back but they were a size too big. Saw on the website they don't do exchanges but suggest returning the wrong uns and placing a new order. Sounded straightforward enough but they'd since gone back to full price.
Sent a quick email and they immediately offered to refund 50% of the replacement pair, matching the sale price. Those arrived Mon, refund in bank yesterday and email today confirming refund for the original order.
Jeans seem decent as well, especially for 60 quid.
Been bought again.
