UK Champs & Euro Qualifier 2014 poll

I voted one. Is that wrong? When do we find out the answer?

Sounds perfect.

It still gives teams who can't make UK Champs another opportunity to qualify.

Additionally, Bristol scheduling is going to be pretty tight as we have to be off the court by 16:30 on Saturday. This limits the amount of games/teams potentially. If you have a better alternative or would like to organise a euro qualifier in London please let us know.

1 court for a third of the spots? Places priority to those who couldn't make the champs and a small cap on teams, no-one who's qualified can play???

Do it for a quarter of the spots and I'll put on another one up here for the other quarter.

Unless anyone would like to organise the Euro Qualifier it's going to happen in Bristol. If fewer than 16 teams enter then we could potentially have it on 1 court over 2 days (or 2 courts 1 day). It also means that it could be held at somehere like HH.

The number of teams that attend will affect the format, however the aim is to play as many games as possible between teams.

Here are some potential dates, what works for people?:
April: 19-20th, 26-27th
May: 10-11th, 17th-18th, 24-25th

Worth noting that 19/20th is Easter weekend, 24/25th is a bank holiday too.

May 10 - 11th is the Farnborough 4x4

4x4 is on May 10th/11th, and April 19th/20th is easter, ie family time. If we do end up voting then mine goes for 26th/27th. The other 2 dates in may could be leaving it late to book travel/accommodation at a reasonable cost. But why not just combine the 2 events? We've already got the venue booked. Thoughts?

Are the teams that people have entered into the champs everyone's choice for the Euros?

thats a shame, i thought there was a poll and vote to give everyone the chance of qualifying. Last year there was too much polo in order to qualify, everyone got way beyond tired and results were unduly effected (imo). I personally cant make the uk champs and wouldve liked the chance to have a crack at the euros but obviously if everyone decides against the poll then fair enough. you do wonder why there was a point in having a poll though...

That's not what Fin said, he's suggesting using Bristol as the location, not the UK champs as the qualifier...

I don't think that's happening, Chan just quoted part of Fin's post, leaving out the bit where other dates are suggested but leaving in the Bristol part.

Ok, so people who can't make UKchamps but want to go to euros:

1. Punkture
