Drys Bicycle Consolidation

So one bike life is boring, and now the cougar has gone to its new home I don't even have a second frame to look at. TM convinced me that if I waited til payday someone else would buy this, so pulled the trigger leaving me pretty skint for the next week or so.

On its way to me we have;

56.5 ctc square mankino. a couple of dents but it has fadez and was one of the cheapest frames on NJS export.

and also this Zen, I've never seen one before, It was also pretty well priced and its rad to the max.

That Zen is cool as fuck, gonna have to trawl the njs sellers for something similair now...

Yeah, It was listed on NJS Export as Titanium Finish Zen.

A *very *quick google only brings back the njs export ad.

Nicely done man, the Makino will be awesome. It looks similar to Sumo's one.

This build is going to be far from NJS. The Chubs are going on it, compact drops.
I need to find some cranks and a seatpost+saddle. maybe just a thomson and a flite or similar.

The frame and ring made it all the way from Japan to Coventry in less than 24 hours. And parcelforce have just sat on it for 3 days. :/

Interesting chainring. Got my S75s from 8pilgrim8 on Ebay for a pretty good price, might be worth checking out.

I doubt it. Unless the logo is etched, caustic soda would have obliterated it. I've got an alloy ring dipped in the stuff, and it looks nothing as clean as this. It really fucks shit up.

caustic soda "touches" anodized surface, but not painted or laser burned. So that's why logo still exists, I've done it with some parts and I'm pretty sure that this is how it's made.

Yeah, I need to wait for the letter telling me how much I need to pay, even though its in Milton Keynes depot and I work in Milton Keynes I can't just go in and pay/get it until I have the letter.
