I've got a Schwalbe Lugano Folding tyre, new. You could have it for free but I believe shipping will be around 9 eur's, which is the same as Indra's tip, I'd prefer a cheap Vittoria over a cheap Schwalbe.

Fit a front break and just don't skid? Possible I think
I also have some spare tyres if you need, but it seems you have plenty of offers -
• #305
He has a front brake.
-
• #306
Yeah I do, but I took it off on Monday because I would only be riding to and from school during the week. Less than 3 miles.

Pm'd you, since you're probably the closest to me.

find someone who got a blackmamba and hated it (shouldn't be hard they are fucking aweful tyres) and ask them to give it to you. Should last you a bloody long time
-
• #309
I got a 23 hardshell you can have if dakin can't sort you out.
Also your commute is p much 3 miles of OKR/new cross road at rush hour, no wonder you have no tyre. -
• #310
Ah, no problem Elra - Ollie (Ok123) is sorting me out hopefully tomorrow. Thanks though! Damn, so many people have spare tyres.
-
• #311
Thank you Ollie once again for the rear tyre! :) And the 19t cog actually fits my rear hub! :)
Would definitely consider gearing down to 48/19. Anyone have a cheap beater black 48t crankset or 48t (130mmBCD) chainring they would like to swap?
ALSO looking to switch my boring risers to some pursuit bulls in the near future, kinda broke atm though.

My pleasure, good to chat and good luck with GCSE, I feel your pain.
Glad the 19T fits and I also have a set of nitto rb002s for sellz, may be a bit pricey though -
• #313
Thanks man, got lucky with the cog! Just sat here doing endless maths homework :(.
- Yeah the nittos would probably way out of my price range for now.

Compact drops + brake hoods could be cool if you're keeping the brake.
Great way to have a more comfortable bike, beats narrow risers for sure.
-
• #315
Hear that, but I wont be keeping the build for much longer though.
-
• #316
Huh?
You only jus got it -
• #317
Dw Dakin, I'll be keeping till the start of my exams (Second week of May). I'm only selling to gather enough money to build a complete bike of my own with my own components without my bro's wheels etc.
-
• #318
Keep it over exams.
Cycling will really help in those moments when you need to clear your head of stress and what not -
• #319
Yes! Okay, yeah thanks dakin. That's exactly what I'll be doing. My exams end at around the third maybe even the second week of June. I'll be keeping till then.

Don't get rid of the frame for the sake of something new. If it fits then ride it and save up your pocket money for some of your own wheels.

^^ That's what I'm currently trying to do atm but it's quite difficult to do with a wack amount of pocket money that gets spent within a week or two. (Not because I can't stop spending money recklessly). Tbh ideally I would not probably every sell the frame if I could comfortably afford my own wheels and pedals, the fort is my favourite frame and the best fitting frame I've had so far. Possibly the most aesthetically pleasing too but if I keep it, I wouldn't be able to afford much comfortably. Hence why I will be desperately looking for a job once I turn 16.

Since I have a 19t cog from Ollie that fits my (brother's) hub, I've been thinking about the ratio I would like to run; 50/19 sounds like the most ideal ratio. Around 2.63 (definitely beats 2.875..), offers 19 skid patches, not too spinny and not too difficult to accelerate.
But here comes the problem of acquiring a "cheap" 50t crankset/chainring. :(
-
• #324
oh, p.s. 49t would probably be just a bit too spinny but probably an easier crankset/chainring to get.
-
• #325
Buy a cheap road chainring in 130bcd, it'll be 3/32 but that doesn't matter.
You won't notice the difference between a 49t and 50t so just get what's easier or cheaper.
Go to evans and price mach a zaffiro down to £4.
If you don't have that I'll check my wheel shed and see if I have something useable for you.
