got accredited last sunday, but I find the website impossible to browse.
How the f*** can I see my achievements/accreditation certificate (there must be something as the velodrome staff told me I can find everything on the website)?
Apparently I can only book sessions from 1 to 4 (that I have already did). -

If I go to the Manchester velodrome website you can book both accreditation stages or advanced training sessions (for accredited riders), but when it comes to the Lee valley velopark website the only thing you can do is booking the accreditation sessions.
Why people get accredited then if there is no possibility to use the velodrome again? :/ -

Finally after several tries someone answered at the phone.
Apparently they have a certificate ready for me (the opposite the guy at the track told me) and I can do everything (booking advanced training) at the reception.Do they know what they are doing?

I just came back from the velodrome.
At the phone I was told to go and pick up the "certificate" so I went.
When arrived at the desk I'm told that they don't have anything and British Cycling will send it to my address when ready.
Ok.
I asked what I can do in the meanwhile and as keanulooser said above I can do structured training (didn't find a way to book it or check availability/dates on the website apart from prices, prices, prices, and prices).
So for who like me got accredited and doesn't know what to do the structured training are every sunday at 6pm and mondays at 7pm.
I booked for monday.Solved for now, but ffs the system is not one of the best... or clear.

Apparently accreditation will be added to your BC license.
Yes, I totally agree with you - the whole system is pain in the ass.
Why did I get certificate after completing stage 1 and nothing at all when completed all 4. -

Regarding foot wear: my running trainers aren't that comfortable to ride in with cages so will converse be ok? I'm wondering if they will be too soft when using cages?

Certificates for tasters are a bit of fun for people who've ridden an Olympic track for the 1st time. Why do you need anything for accreditation?

Don't get me wrong - I don't really want a piece of paper to frame and put up on a wall, but a clear confirmation / proof of completion would be good.

Haven't BC sent you a new membership card with the endorsement on then?
-
• #263
No, nothing.
After I completed accreditation - I went to reception and asked them to make a note of my BC license, as I don't remember providing that info before.

Well that's not LV's fault. I'd get on to BC if it matters. But then it really only matters if you want to race at the other velodromes.
-
• #265
BTW, you can still ride at the other tracks if you ask for written proof from LV.
SFAIK the other velodromes don't have anything ID wise for accredited riders. Newport used to but now it's just stored within your plastic swipe card. -

I have a track accreditation ID 'pass' (2003 vintage) from Manchester. How can I get this recognised on my BC license? Thanks.

Ask Manchester?

Nobody told anybody that the accreditation will be dealt with BC. What if I'm not a member?

Accreditation isn't dealt with by BC, the endorsement on your membership/race licence is.
You'll need that for track league. Why else would you want to be accredited?

I would hire the cycling shoes to avoid the whole issue.

They say that I'd need to go there for a one off 'refresher' session. Long way to go! Don't suppose I could do this at LV?

But doesn't that make it a long way to travel for the Manchester coaches? ;)

Wait a minute, will I need the accreditation to join track league or just to ride in other uk velodromes?
I got accredited, but never been a member of BC. I still don't understand if I need to be member or not to have my accreditation validated and be able to join track league. -

They'd love a day out down south, surely!

Did my stage 1 accreditation today. Such fun. Lovely track to ride on and even the hire bikes are really nice.
Great instructions from Big Steve thanks to them rollapaluza connections.
