A bit??
But will it fit??

JB bought an NJS fixie skidder as bike for life, and then sold it. Next he converted to being a roadie. He is the new MaxCrowe and will be skateboarding soon.
(none of Max's bikes fitted...)

That's a little unfair, Max was (is) 7 feet tall, finding something that fitted was a challenge for the poor boy.

Nah, Crowe could fixei.

Only Scherrit know.

I am more than happy to admit my naïvety with regards to bike sizing, my previous bikes and the kind if riding that I actually like to do. But as spotter will attest to, I just don't enjoy riding at a pace that I feel isn't flat out, which is why I'm taking this avenue with the build. Something fast, yet steel.
Anyway, I've decided to just say fuck it and go all out, again, whilst I can afford to. Discs, di2 and all.

If you nothing else from Tune get this.

However, what's going to change with discs?
True. I prob just won't go for discs for a road bike yet. But then I'm conservative on tech generally.
Yarp, only choice you have to make is whether you go for 135mm rear spacing (which I did) or 130.
Personally I'd go with a 132.5mm spacing even if you didn't go for discs, just I'm case road hubs move to a 135mm spacing with cassettes getting bigger and disc road bikes becoming more common.

To hell with discs and Di2.
I'm jealous, but it would be calipers and mechanical for me.

But unlike you JB and Dammit are fat and need all the brake power they can get descending Col de Big Smoke.

With a five-speed screw on freewheel, wooden rims and a Brooks?
-

^ This reminds me of a story that my dad told me a long time ago that they were riding on the rims as no tyres after the war. As there was mostly no macadam but cobbles leading on to rural roads they would have done alright on their rides to find UXO.

The Time Machine has set the bar pretty high though.

You sure? mine went on for 11 month from deposit to completion.
Don't forget the Super Safe Super Light...

I was thinking longest in duration, not most posts.

Long CP threads are great.
We should all post silly jokes for the next 10 pages so that it's impossible to figure out what's going on / if anyone's actually building a bike, etc. -

I'll admit mt views are a little anti-progress. I'm not even sure why I don't like mechanical shifting; and I think disc brakes in theory are cool just not on road bikes. A moment of emotion in my otherwise highly logical life I guess.
You do have a bit of a history of being impatient and rushing things. Make sure that this is thought through properly to save this being a JB special thats up for sale almost before its been ridden.
