  • I post here my c40 complete with new dress:

  • nice work

  • [QUOTE=saarf;4019527]my team buckler has overpainted lugs

and here's my old 94 with my current 96
you can see the tube gauge differences

the master pui I think can be defined also due to location of cable guide, I think near seat post
    not mine.,

    Interesting reading Saarf thanks

My master with the painted lugs looks like your old 94 tubed master
& my other master (re sprayed ) looks like the pui
I also notice the 94 tubed rear dropouts are welded & my other has sand cast luged dropouts as per your 96

Of my Colnago's there is just something about the master that shines through The c40 hp rides really nice & the hp stays seem to smooth out the rear nicely . But ride of choice will always be the Master

I have also considered a dream for winter activities

  • Ariostea team decor?

nice matchy matchy jersey on the bay at the mo

    already got one but thanks!

  • i might as well post up other colnago's i've owned!

    master olympic

dream - bit of a travesty but i loved riding it (apologies for the miscoloured spoke!)

  • Saarf, I expect you'll know - how did the famous connection between Rabobank and Colnago come about? It strikes me that there were/are plenty of good Dutch bike builders, so home come they ended up with an Italian one, just a matter of picking the best frames, or is there an interesting story?

  • Sorry for the OT but what are those bars?

    no idea mate tbh
the painters I use occasionally use do work for Codagex , the Benelux distributor, and the did for Rabo team
I went there last year, and in the spray booth they had THE Belkin/Giant team's tour bikes,
swore me not to tell owt, and would'nt let me picture
Rabo only have a womens team now they said , as the bank don't want to be associated with doping
Giant did make Colnago branded tt bikes for the rabobank team

  • Could be a repost but i dont care.

  • Sorry for the OT but what are those bars?

They're Nitto Light 65. The engravings are also marked "B65LL Tokyo"

  • any pics of bb shell underside?

  • I'd say it's a super pui,
    my first Colnago was one
    circa 91 possibly

  • not all super pui's had cut outs, the cable exits are the same,
this c94 has no cut outs in head tube lugs but yours has , and no seat stay cuts outs like yours, and made from Thron, not sl

here's a cat pic of c94 , and you can clearly see yours has headtube cut outs whereas the c94 in the catalog has none, also list as Clomubus Cromo Steel, not sl, highlighting the fact that colnago made the same models in different steels
here's a C94 I sold ages ago, was not sl

  • [QUOTE=Jeez;4023629]The Super Piu seems to have a logo at the top of the seat stays - mine doesn't. Mine is supposedly Columbus SL - Super Piu says Tange.

Actually, I seem to have found why I thought C94 -

    QUOTE]
using your own point of reference, you can see clearly here the chrome headtube lug does no have the cut outs yours has
maybe a c94 with super pui detailing , or a super pui without stay cut outs
the bb shell should have clover cut outs on top if a pui, and a colnago 'cowl' type bb, which yours has neither, which adds to the confusion

Thanks! Interesting shape, somehwere between compact and a shallow classic bend.

  • So, I'm looking for more info on this bicycle. It was getting dark when I got home after picking it up, so I only have these bad quality pictures. I promise to take better ones tomorrow.

It has chromed lugs, crimped top-and downtube, Colnago CX forks. Rear drop-out says COLNAGO 36. There's a clover on the seatstays and on the part where the rear brake goes in. There's nothing on or under the bottom bracket.

Embrumman is a Triathlon in France that exists since 1984. I guess this was a bicycle that was used by the "Down Corner Team" there somewhere in the 90s.

  • Hi ! Here's my master.

    With Zipps

    With Neutrons

  • What stem is that? Lovely build.

if 4 crimps a master delta frame , with cx forks, most deltas came with cx 26" forks, poss because of the cx's more aero profile

    nice build, like mapei decor

  • Thanks guys !

An ITM colnago stem, like this one, but in black. It is curved like the gilco tubing.

  • It rides great too !

  • Yes, those black vento looked great but were a pain to ride. Way too heavy for la vallĂ©e de chevreuse.

i'd consider getting restored paint wise, as these models with the right components can fetch premium priices
