  • Didnt realise there was a velosamba thread! None left in my size unfortunately but that's hopeful, thanks.

  • Cafe du Cycliste ATELIER

    I want what they’re on ...

  • Pat Butcher jersey came out last weekend. Many many comments from various people along the way

  • got myself one of these coming

The inspiration around this jersey is a combination of my love for 80’s football kits (particularly the classic geometric fades that Adidas produced for clubs and national teams) blended with the Scottish Tweed pattern, houndstooth.*

  • Almost pulled the trigger on one of them, I've ordered a frame after all, but I have WAY too many jerseys. Do you know if the pre-order is all that's coming in or will there be some for sale in the future?

  • not sure...

what frame did you go for ? torragar ?

  • Yup. Managed to get most of the bits together to build it up, few more weeks to wait on the frame but no rush. Ultimately a fast tourer is my main idea.

    Looking forward to it.

  • Does anyone have Victory Chimp bibs? their size chart says I should be a M, but have always been a S across the board with other brands. Do they come up smaller than other brands?

  • If anybody is planning to get some stuff from Lusso the code CV20 gives 20% off.

  • Just got the Uniqlo x Theory ultra light shorts and they are amazing, like somebody went and fixed most of what was wrong with the Rapha touring shorts.

  • Any suggestions for decent t shirts for cycling all day in? Ideally wouldn't look too cycle-y and would also ideally be plain and black.

  • Rapha merino base layer?

  • Patagonia capilene

  • Ideally cheaper than both of those, I'll need a few! Starting a new job that involves a lot of cycling but don't want to dress too bikey. Also, no wool or other animal products please!

  • Just use Nike/adidas/Decathlon/etc running/gym t-shirts.

My suggestion would be bamboo; similar qualities to merino but no animal products. Plenty out there, but you'd struggle with cheap.

  • Good call, I'm sure I can get a multi pack for not loads of money.
@se1derful, bamboo might be a good shout as well, thanks.

  • 'Bamboo' fabric is just a rebranding of rayon/viscose, isn't it?

  • all the bamboo stuff I had was exactly like cotton and nothing like wool.

  • Eh? How so?

  • I had a bamboo tshirt, it was thin fitted like shit.

  • Do you have any more specific reccs for regular fit bamboo stuff?

  • The Continental bamboo tees are great, I believe Condor used to use them for their tees. Otherwise keep an eye out for the tell-tale collar size label
