I'm looking for a long-sleeved jersey, can anyone suggest a brand that comes up particularly long (EDIT: in the sleeve)? My Rapha cross jersey is an inch or two shorter than I'd like.

I find stolen goat fits quite long

Anybody got a recommendation for a merino jersey with a collar? id like something that looks like normal clothes off the bike but is practical on it. I had a rapha merino polo which was ideal, but its worn out and the new one feels like it is not as well made.

5yrs late, and marmite reviews in this thread but still:
PSA found some attaquer kit in TK Maxx today, matching Jersey & Bibs sets. Possible bargain for someone.
Did buy.

Any tips for padded bib tights? Can't really do the sports tights over regular bibs since mine aren't that comfy... Also preferably something that doesn't break the bank so no Rapha this time.

Question marks over whether Morvelo products can be described as 'Stylish', and at about the same price as Rapha Core they also can't really be classified as 'economical'. But FWIW have two pairs of the Morvelo bibtights (1 x Stormshield & 1 x thermoactive) and rate them both for the winter:

Maybe not stylish but the DHB Aeron tights are decent for the price, and you can get 25% off if you join the Strava challenge.

I've got a pair of Castelli something or other that I rate. A few years old but still going strong! I can't remember how much I paid for them but I don't think they were too spendy.

I have some fairly unstylish Mavic ones in M if you wanted them?
I tend to wear bibs and unpadded tights nowadays

Too small I'm afraid... Thanks everyone and maybe bib tights aren't meant to be super stylish :)
Any opinions on Lusso? -

I bought some Bioracer ones off the back of some advice (possibly on this thread?) which I like. Bioracer tempest. But they are unpadded
I have a Lusso winter windtex jacket which is good, but I get pretty sweaty in it. Bright orange too - not stylish

There's always the CdC "dungaree style" gravel tights...

Again probably not stylish, but I really rate my decathlon bib longs - van Rysel or something? I picked them up in the sale, but even their poshest ones shouldn't break the bank.

I tested out the new La Passione Prestige bib tights this morning and they were lovely, if a bit pricey. Definitely stylish!

Local store has the Gore C5 1985 shakedry on sale at 175£
Any thoughts before I get it? Someone has one?

I'm after a new softshell jacket. Anyone got suggestions for something not too pricey? Ideally not a super tight fit because I'd like to be able to wear it with a jersey underneath when it's mild and a few layers when it's really cold. Preference would be for something orange or a similar visible but non hi-viz colour. Open to secondhand if anyone's selling anything in a small/ smaller medium that'd fit the bill!

What's the current orthodoxy on gabba-style jerseys? My gabba is on its last legs (8 years old, can't complain) so need a replacement. Nothing too lairy though.

I think the perfetto (LS) / gabba (SS) still reign supreme. would be interested in hearing about alternatives though... rapha should relaunch shadow at a more reasonable price point imo

Rapha have the pro team insulated goretex jacket but it's pretty eye-watering in terms of price and seems like it'd have limited utility except in the coldest of days.
The Perfetto ROS convertible jacket looks good though, I get quite a lot of use of the current gabba as I can remove the sleeves on that one too and have done quite a lot.

So I got the Gore C5 Shakedry. The fit is ok, but not perfect. I'm pretty broad shouldered. And it's fine when I'm in a riding position. But really too tight when I'm just standing up. I realize I wont be using it when I'm not cycling, so it's probably fine. Layers fit under it but I'm not used to having that tight clothes without any stretch so I feel a bit cramped. Maybe this will pass.
I noticed the Albion Rain jacket is a few cm wider in L. What would you do. Get the slightly larger one?
The reason I got the shakedry is that I will be riding a 2200 km audax next summer and want to be able to pedal through days of rain in the least discomfort possible.
