Pretty intense game, clean at the beginning becoming messier with quite a few falls as Mitch was under attack of swift showers. As you can see from the score table both teams were all the time only one goal apart from Cobras 2 goals leading at the beginning. King Cobras seemed more compact communicating effectively through the game which brought them more pressure on Crow Bangers. The second chukker evened up with Crow Bangers winning the ball mostly mid-field and seemingly scoring more goals with less shots. The third chukker became more tactical and locked by sides and corners as non of the team was willing to lose the ball. King Cobras again seemed to have more pressure losing the game only in last two three minutes by Cam persuasive rebounds. Ali was the player of the first chukker scoring all goals and having great control of the ball. Matt scoring nearly all goals for Cobras was at his best in the third chukker as he managed to avoid the lock-ups and falls therefore creating the advantage of ball position. Great game exciting to watch not knowing the winner until last 30 seconds. Thanks to Beagle for game ref Ruppert as consultation ref and Fuchsia and Johannes as goal refs. Yes we have had lots of refs for this game!

Does anyone know if stats were taken for Sucker Punch v Haymakers? And, if so, by who?

Not yet, any other games happening sunday? Keen to ref if they are !

You do understand that in order for every game to be reffed each person needs to ref an average of 4 games? That means you are probably going to have to make it up a couple of times to ref on days you don't have league games. This should not be a problem, right? After all, you claimed to regularly play in the London scene.

Cam and Josh: Same for you.

If you guys can't make this happen I don't see why we should let you play in the London league again ...

Great game today, despite the rain. Some smart plays made by both teams. Overall played with a good spirit. Really enjoyed it.

I would say Vit's assessment of the game is fair but I would like to say that it was a match between the more organised team and the team with more clinical finish won. Also, I have never seen so much banter between teams with Mat's venom team kit colour choice before the game and Cam/PK exchanging words about steering arm infringement.

I would give the MVP award to Cam. He delivered from his shots when it mattered, scoring a brilliant dipping shot for the equaliser and the winner (albeit with help from Chris who went in to clear the goal).

Court surface was pretty sketchy with holding water in many spots and kudos to both teams for playing under such conditions.

Worth mentioning that Ben did well to stay on his feet. Things got pretty frisky on the wings in that final chukker.

Ha! Ball played along the fence where I was stood reffing, 3 players charging for it, had to leg it to get out of the way and dropped my tobacco box while doing it.
