Would anyone object to Winter Has Come vs Thundershafts next Weds at Newington? We can play 2nd ct and do rotating refs? It is, after all, a very important game #battleforthebottom

Did Felix not play this game?

He did !!!

Has everyone got really good at defending or are these long games played at a slower pace than the usual 10 minute charge fests?

• #1464
Look at the league one against league 2... Better players less goals!
-
• #1465
Is there a complete list of results floating about? I might be wrong but it seems like the start of the league 2 season was a lot higher scoring but has got more like league 1 towards the end, excluding the complete dicking over of a few teams, maybe it was just the order of the fixtures. Do the games feel a bit slower to play in, are people trying to conserve more energy and not get scored on rather than pushing all the time and trying to get 5?

Order of the fixtures mainly.

Order of the fixtures mainly.
nah i dont think its that, we played Rubix Pubes first up and Clerks second. I think its just that teams have got more used to playing with each other (giggles) and therefore defences have got tighter
-
• #1472
But you didn't massively beat either of those two teams, that was Rob's question. You have a point though, if all the games in the league was replayed, the results would come out differently (ie tighter).

Mark, 23 -11 against pubes is a fair score. Our game was tight though. I just think that it's because people have improved over the winter

And got more used to the longer format? I'm guessing league 1 have been playing a tighter, less open game from the start and league 2 have become more like that after playing a bit, 23-11 could just be 3 10-15 minute games after each other, whereas 6-5 is much more like one longer game. Are the games noticeably played in a more defensive way? With people less likely to commit forwards and get caught on the break or against only one defender, or are you all just mega goalies now? Do you reckon it'll lead to a lot of tight, 1-0 wins at tournaments?
When is that game being played? Sounds FUN.
