LFGSS Ladies Drinks - 1st Thursday of the Month

I don't mind moving the location around. There's the place in Bloomsbury and the one near Waterloo that we've used before. I remember one pub near Hammersmith or Putney as well.

I reckon more central is better, might get more peeps interested too!

Last summer at the LMNH popup on the Southbank was cool.
Good food would be a nice to have too...

Yeah, they did AWESOME veggie scotch eggs!! So the brief is: Centralish, good food, good beer, bike parking.. time for a reccy!

Central is better for me. Might even see me cycle there.

Southbank made me think of the founders arms. On the river, railings for bike parking and the food is ok. Plus, tramp beer potential in the summer.

I can't make this month and it's unlikely I'll be able to make next month, what with the marathon and all that (sponsor me...) but in May I would be well up for drinks in the sunshine! I might even venture north of the river!

It wasn't lemon tea flavour nuun I was drinking, it was high 5 citrus flavour but I do love lemonyness!

I'm on the citrus fruit nuuns at the moment which are a break from my normal tri-berry.
Am liking them but about to run out - am working my way through the flavours

I used to drink the berry nuun until I realised that it tastes EXACTLY like the sachets of stuff you get for cystitis. I can't drink it any more.

I've got both sitting in a cupboard, might do a taste test sometime just to check if you're right.

Hah. "Traumatic cystitis" is one of my favourite medical names, but frankly all varieties of it are quite traumatising. I like the idea of Nuun also being a cure for this.

I might arrive just after Poots, or much later, as I am quite confident that I'll get lost despite memorising the route from London Bridge.

At least it will be a nice evening for a loop around Camden High Street and the Edinboro. Twice.

When I lived in a shared house at uni, my mum used to donate all her old 'wimmins' magazines to our household. My mate actually managed to read through about 50 copies of Woman's Own, Best, Bella, Chat and Take a Break in one night of Cystitis induced agony - she said at the time, it was the only thing that kept her sane. I now cannot look at any of these magazines without thinking of my best friend with cystitis back in 1994.
