Haha. Ye of little faith. I have to ride it so I'm sure it'll be on the right side.
I'm not getting Velocity Deep Vs if that helps and I too am unsure of the Paul brake at the minute. It's the Funky Monkey hanger that troubles me the most.

those look blingin!!
how much did it cost to get the parts chromed?£83. They're fucking shiny as fuck. Even my girlfriend was impressed and she hates my bike interests.

Defo treading a line... lets see...
Treading? Leaped frog over the line into anti-land I reckon. Chromed Sugino75 on a Colnago? Are you fucking kidding me?

It's still do able... a tasteful contemporary/classic contrast, the chroming on the cranks ties it in to the chrome accents on the frame... it's still do able.

What's wrong with that?

A lot of people on here have strong opinions about what you can and can't do with a bike.
Ignore them.

Let's see how this pans out. I'd mess with that De Rosa though.

He he!
Whatever you do, no matter what it looks like, the most important thing is to ride the sweet Jesu out of it - rain or shine.

Yes. It's purely dependant on how good the original metal is. NASA used chromed Aluminum on the Apollo missions and fuck did those rockets look good!

Thanks! That's what my Nago needed.

Changed my mind on the headset Paul brake combo. Looked weird. Will put pictures up soon. Basically cable hanger over Colnago headtube looked miserable. Chrome head lugs with pale pasty aluminum Chris King headset and funky monkey cable hanger didn't add the wow factor for me.
Titanium Chris King headset and a SRAM Aerolink Red brake are coming as back up.
Fucking expensive backup! -

Here's a picture of brake headset and cable hanger on an ipad picture. Looks bad enough but will post proper pics if anyone wants to see it better. I was never sure and always was okay with buying the Paul stuff as it was going on my winter bike if a fail was on the cards with the Colnago.
I'm looking forward to my new Paul brake on my Gazelle champion mondial

i actually think the paul looks good. serious. the brake cable thing is minging though

Paul way too chunky for this frameset. You appear to be going American HHSB on this though, so perhaps many wrongs make a right. Fuck knows.

Retro Athena would look great if you're having doubts about the looks, but if you're actually going to be out riding in the wet, I'd say you should make a decision based on performance.

Brakes.... Pfffft.

Record Ti brake would match the new headset!
