Deliceaux. I think ksyriums would have been even hotter.

Have to say that bike with all components is absolutely stunning. A great considered and brilliantly executed build

It's just a quick snap after i picked the bike from the bike shop, I'll put conti 4 seasons on and fix all the details ;)

Love it, very nice.
With some tubs and a lighter saddle could drop 400 grams but I guess that's not the point. Either way gorgeous. -

I started to have some doubts about the paintjob, looks like it was made both for Lampre and Mapei, in the late 90s Franco Ballerini raced with this paint scheme on Paris-Roubaix, so I guess it was made just for the event...

It is a very late 90s paint scheme, and fantastic to boot. Don't change it.
Especially as no-one will be able to do anything remotely as good without spending a small fortune.

Thought I recognised that saddle ;p
I think there could be a nicer stem

I need something steeper, the arx just comes at 6 degrees, maybe a zipp will do...

I would never think to repaint it... I was just wondering about the history ;)

will a -17 degrees stem be at the same level of the top tube or will it be steeper than that?
-
• #37
This is truly amazing.
The -6 stem doesn't look wrong at all, especially with a threadless set-up, it's only worth changing to a -17 if the front end is still too high.

Beautiful build!
Aesthetically speaking I think this needs gumwalls but you've obviously chosen the UZX tyres for their performance, which I can't blame you.

Dunno about that, orange and pink is a nasty clash.

Bloody nice that.

On road I usually go for Open Corsa and the wheelset came already with the ultremo on... I couldn't be bothered to put the conti 4s for the winter so I left them there for the building process.
Gumwall I think they would be nice at some point but for sure with another wheelset :) -

shim'd . can anybody whats the problem ? -

hi i know one bike shop is refusing to offer guarentee's on bikes if the seat post has been
shim'd . can anybody whats the problem ?When the manufacture designs a frame with 28mm seatpost means that needs to be a 28mm one, otherwise the brand can't be blamed for possible failure of the seat clamp or seat tube... So i guess the poor shop can't be blamed as well :)

I was used with different handlebars and different levers that with the almost the same stem angle (-7) the hoods were at least 2cm lower... Will see with time :)

That is possibly the nicest non-period 'Nago I have ever seen.
It wants aligned tyres and a -17 to get in to the porn thread, but that's about it...

Echoing the above, it looks great, definitely keep the paint!
Do you know what the head tube angle is? -17 might be a litte too steep? I always think -17 looks a bit off personally...
To me the bars/lever position looks like it could do with tweaking but that could be the photo angle...

If I'm not wrong it should be 71.8 degrees...

Using this stem chart says with a -17 I'll have a +1 degree rise... I'll give it a go then :)

And whilst this is entirely personal / aesthetic preference, I think this bike would look rad with some moderately shallow trad-bend bars.

I've bought a Zipp -17 stem in Kinoko today, now the angles and position is proper, I'm going to do some porn shots over these days... Keep an eye on the thread!
