That sucks, raw finish could look pretty cool though...
Just spoke to them, what they mean by Raw Finish is no finish at all. It is unpainted, no clear coat, no decals.

bit of a joke On One.

Assuming you were after medium (can't remember how tall you are) they have 1 listed in stock on the planetx ebay shop at the moment... could easily be another stock-check mistake though.

I was after a large.
I dont trust it either because the website said 1 in stock when I ordered it.
I just called them and asked if they had anything, ex display etc that they could sell me but nope. They are all out until Mid December.

Fair enough. There's a large on the forum somewhere that's been a slow sale for ages. Won't post but maybe you could Beagle™ it...

Emma at polo has a medium frame, Emyr on here should know how tall she is. Al at polo has a medium I think, he might be at polo sometime this week if you want to try it...

might be a plan, as they have White in stock in Medium.
According to the size guide it should fit people between 5′5″ to 5′10″ (165-178cm)
I'm 5'8" but looking at the geo it seemed that the large would be a better fit for me.

I'll get in touch with Al and let you know if he's next playing this week or we're having a tournament all day Saturday and he'll be there then.

Having just looked at the geometry guide again, I think I could probably get away with a medium with a bit more seatpost showing.
the top tube is roughly the same length as my vig, the seat tube is 3cm shorter but more seatpost could fix that.

I thought the only difference between the 2 is the rear brake mounts?

and spacing.
135mm on the back for a pompetamine, which means different rear hub (or spacers)
-
• #141
Since you are currently on hold on the frame side, you could always opt for a Pompetamine and run a 135mm single speed rear disc hub. Just get a bolt on fixed cog and you are done.
There are a handful of polo players using one of these hub (freewheel, not fixed) and no complains yet, only caution is avoid the mistake of ordering the mini freewheel one:

Al does have a medium. Will let you know when he's next at polo and you can swing by and try it out.

nice one man, but....
I've just bit the bullet and asked for them to send the medium anyway. I had a trawl through the Pompino Owners thread and it seems plenty of people around my height are rocking mediums and even smalls.

Ha fair enough!
-
• #145
also whilst all that drama was happening, some more pieces of the puzzle arrived.
-
• #146
Worst case and it is a touch small, you can stick a freewheel on and use it for polo.
-
• #148
Don't do it...

I doubt I will be.
