Practically, the wheel is in a perfect position so no need to try to slam it.
I reckon chainring is in a fine place.Matching front wheel would be cool but its not at all offensive currently.
Bright red Chris King Gripnut would be dope.

The wheel situation doesn't bother me really, same with chain length, although it is quite worn so needs replacing anyways.
Colour wise I'm torn between purple and red, although would prefer it without the chrisking logo in white I think -

Although the original plan was for a set of classy yet practical wheels (the rims below to phils), Phils were just too expensive and I'm shit at saving.
Other consideration were low flange dura ace (7710s I think) but didn't think mixing campag and shimano was quite 'right'.
Then these hubs came up right after I sold my kagero...
To hell with practicality I can just ride the langster!

And done!
Rode it at the track on Saturday wheels were lovely but I think the spokes need a little more tension. Spending ~40mins in the drops also revealed how unforgiving my bar tape is, so might swap for something black with a little more give. Of course this could also be down to my position and lack of padded gloves

Nice wheels, they do suit it much better. Is that saddle comfortable?
-
• #64
It's not bad, better than an arione. I get on reasonably well with the wide flat shape. However the padding is really coming away from the saddle and if I have to I may buy one brand new.

WHAT?!
So much Salsa envywhere from?
-
• #67
Cheers man.
Larrywhite off here sold it to me (along with the bars) as he didn't like the rise. Although the angle looks a little funky it is really comfortable while still being stiff -

Looks awesome!!
Btw, I got a salsa 100mm with down angle in mint condition for sale, if anyone's interested...

Trying out the salsa with compact drops and new tape, it's a whole lot more comfortable.

Looks good, want a black nitro 65 post to go with it?
-
• #75
Tempting, how much?
Yeah I agree completely on the front wheel gonna keep an eye out for something cheap. Can't quite lose a link from the chain, but will put a new one on soonish and try and slam the wheel.
Chainring position I'm not so sure it seems to vary a lot
Thinking a new sealed headset, brightly coloured chris king or just something black?
