I saw coasting and brakes. I am disappoint

The beta test video made it look really slow, even with banging tunez and annoying editing.

Just received a Twitter message asking me to enter a race. Sounds like there are plenty of places available, final happening nr Liverpool Street/Broadgate in the Summer. Forum takeover?

Is this the one that was on Eurosport a while ago?
-
• #56
The very one (I think, I didn't see it). Any good?
-
• #57
I wasn't that taken by it but it'd be fun to ride.

If they push the banks together (a la Redbull minidrome), could be a lot better. Were the crashes any good?

Ah, only just seen this thread. I actually rode the thing up in Manchester a couple of months ago. (just quietly, was helping out with mechanical support for mate who supplied the bikes for that event)
Unless they have changed the ramp sections it was a little awkward to ride. The bend was not continuous, more like a double apex. You had to go in high and whip it round. Even on crappy, ill fitting bikes it was fun though and surprisingly few crashes.
I can't remember his name but some world champ sprinter turned up and absolutely smashed it. Think the average was 20 sec laps and he did it in 10 or something. I thought the unbranded "colourful fixie" was going to crumble under him. It didn't.
There was talk of modifying the track for the next event so it would be interesting to see the changes.

That was promoted well, then.

(or maybe I need to update my blog feeds.)I think you were right the first time. Promotion of this has been dismal, no reason why it couldn't have been the new Red Bull minidrome thing (apart from the budget). Still, not difficult to come on here and hawk it.

I didn't know about it and my head is buried in cycling shit all day every day.
I got one email from Ealing cycling.

So how was it?

Really good weather, wish I could have a go.
Rob Reed won the amateur race. Complained that he never wins anything, always second or third.

Yes, it wasn't advertised too well, although it sounds like they had a good turn-out eventually. Hey, there's always this http://www.parkourride.com/
the wada thing is about an education message given to kids taking part. there is no testing at the event.
