The only nagging doubt I have is whether the LFGSS acronym is large enough to be seen by other effectively.

Does the Milltag branding need to be included? Looks a bit naff.

Well, if it looks like a blue smudge they can come and say hello to get a closer look.
I'm not bothered by that really. LFGSS doesn't need to be seen at 50m by a press camera, we have no sponsors to please. There are enough details that we would spot each other, and that's all that is necessary.

Exactly this. Medium please!

I will have to check tonight.
I was being coy about not actually knowing the numbers for what stock is left. There are some bigger jerseys, and some smaller jerseys. I shall clarify what the numbers are this evening.
Ta. I've had a look at the sizing chart and I reckon I could successfully take down an XL if you've got one of those left. XXL might be pushing it a bit but maaaaaybe. Might need a bigger sewing kit for that.

I thought the idea was to promote the community rather?
The only problem I see is simply being referred to as a brunch of cunts if a couple of forumeanger ride like a cunts (a la Dulwich Paragon).

Brunch. Ha!

I thought the idea was to get us into all them lovely events that we'd need to be a proper club to get into?

More's the point - will there be any free beer?

Cycling Club.
"Cycle clubs" are things that go on in school playgrounds after school. Where both the standard of riding and maturity of behaviour are far better than the LFGSS ;)

Are you open for companies to sponsor?

First post says nothing about promoting community and everything about just giving an easy banner for people to congregate under, and an air of responsibility such that we can get access to facilities that might not just let a mob in.
And extending that, that we would encourage anyone who is a member to try out any sport they like, and support them in doing so (by giving them a banner to ride under that is very much in the spirit of "Fuck it, I'll give it a try").
After that... if people want to compete and push themselves hard, we'd be the first to recommend other clubs who take things more seriously. We're a springboard, we'll open some doors, and then we'll get out of the way.
But for those who don't want to take things seriously, welcome.
But none of the above says we'll promote the club far and wide, we'll just support you in doing whatever you want by giving you a convenient banner to ride under.
Ultimately, the club isn't about me, and isn't about the organisation of the club... just like the forum, it's about you guys, the individuals and people.
I'd rather project very little onto you, through the club, and let you guys shape it into whatever you want it to be.

Even whip skidding?

I don't think we need sponsors, and we have no ambitions that would currently justify taking sponsorship.
Maybe that will change in a year, maybe people want support to do more stuff.
But I'd rather just make things fairly lean, and PAYG for events. This way the events can mostly carry on being ad-hoc organised things by various people.
I suspect that the jerseys will make a slight profit (a couple of quid per jersey), and what profit there would be I'd put into prizes for events or beer or something. If I took sponsorship all I'd do is give it away immediately... but why compromise a nice club strip with a sponsors logo when it's not needed.
Ask again in April/May when we do the next club strip order. But I doubt we'd need to seek a sponsor for a long while.

Velocio, that design is great.
Perfect, minimal, subtle.
Just what I was expecting.
The username/personalisation touch is great.
Tweaks/edits/updates and such aside, this is exactly what I'd like to see from a LFGSS jersey.
Nice one.
I await the list.Without wanting to railroad this thread with Bothwell, I too would love to know what sizes are kicking about in Sharkpits format. I'm a fairly large lad...

Minimal designs are awesome.
It's missing something though.
We all know what the acronym LFGSS stands for.
People on the outside do not - maybe consider using the long form on the rear of the jersey?
Appreciate it's a draft, there will be changes etc.

It is intentional.
I see you've already taken care of buying lfgss.cc too.
Of course, nothing if not efficient.

New design looks a lot better than the plain black one with the logo. I'll probably buy one either way.
How much were the original LFGSS jerseys?

Velocio, the velodrome opens in March next year. How soon would you envisage we'd be able to get onto it? Would they first give slots to other clubs who've been around longer? And do you think we'd be able to get sessions at the evenings and weekends?
-

I suppose it could befuddle the competition - they'll waste valuable watts guessing as to what it means.
-
• #199
There's no reason why they can't just type LFGSS in Google as that already tell you everything you need to know.

In.
Good jersey design; glad I didn't splurge on a Rapha Club jersey last week now.
I will have to check tonight.
