You could always run an 11 speed chain also .. Slightly narrower across the overall width, but same inside plate dimensions as 10 speed, reportedly more flexible to misalignment and like for like it's going to be lighter ;)

^ thats worth a go to if this doesn't work, I imagine the chain being the only possible shortfall..
(id rep you but must spread etc)

Ah ok.
I'm trying to not tell Ben, that I'll buy the mini-v's he has for sale.

Aye, many areas of this bike are new to me outside of 'i once had a shit bike with cantis on it' so we'll see what happens
I know i want to buy more crossy tyres when i have some spare cash so I can give it a good go, and ultimately I'd like a steel fork made up with rack mounts etc if i were ever to take it travelling

If you wanted a tonic...?
-
• #64
well, thats not the standard tonic look, they were custom for a team i think...
i just want it to look smart and nice, and isnt going to be too 'out there' the default logos look too vintage too me and arent what Im going for is my only issue

If you squint it's Jammy's bike, no?
-
• #66
^ fair point..

• #67
Understand what you are saying - it looks good on my skinny frame, but on something a bit beefier a modern typeface might fit better.

Im still waiting on matt anyway so i'll see what he says, he might really want to use his decals in which case I'll get over it!

What about a copy of the text on the banner section of the website?
http://www.talbotframeworks.com/?m=1
Doesn't look too vintage to me. I wouldn't have red graphics and a red HS. Reds are hard to match IMO. I'd be tempted by black on black graphics.

yeah I'll see what we can do with it, just when its printed quite small the outline overpowers the rest of the text

The text on the banner of the website is the same as the logo on the bikes (I know because I've done bits of photoshopping for Matt).
Weirdly the same logo looks totally different in photographs, on websites and on actual bikes... In real life I really like the way the logo looks on my frame, but the outline doesn't come over so well in pictures.I think Matt's going to be offering a choice of logos for people who want something a bit more modern/low key, so doubt he'll have a problem with you having something different.
(also he's tied up with moving house this weekend, so suspect his replies to email might be a little sporadic). -
